Update Speculation thread

Proper time slips would be awesome! Would love to see this data when tuning cars.

 

Yeah, that's the feeling I have too. The lightning looks better on nadeox's video, they are probably imrpoving their graphic remaster added some updates ago
(are we speculating on a video where nadeox said it was "completely meaningless" ?)

 

Does nobody notice the new horizon and sky effects? not to mention the lighting looks to have a better hue as well.

 

Man, you can't just come out and say the video is completely meaningless and then say something is in game. Those two are mutually exclusive. Here's my thought: we are getting an option to mirror the maps. That's a cheap and easy way to make "more" maps because mirrored maps always feel like brand new ones.

 

but it would still have the same content, so it wouldn't be as interesting as a whole new map or a revamp

 

Mirrored maps might look odd because most text will be mirrored.

 

well by the looks of it, gridmap's lighting has been altered

 

I think it's a result of the work in progress lighting improvements.

 

Uh I see some new things... also I feel that some objects are moved

 

That's always been there, it's just that the image is mirrored

 

Hmm the outside of the boxed area looks different but that could be me

 

I flipped the image, and nothing has changed other than the skybox I think.

 

If Nadeox1 says its meaningless then it probably is.
Just take what he says at face value, because there totally isn't a Soliad Wendover hiding in this video if you look hard enough.

no updates from the devs doesn't mean it's dead
it is clearly not the top priority right now because new awd system and vivace, but it's somewhere on the list of future content. it may not seem like there has been any development, but under the covers there may have been some. look at the bluebuck. everybody thought it was "dead", until it was confirmed to be in-game.

 

Does the video have new or old foliage colours? I have difficulty telling them apart without a comparison.

 

I don't know a single instance of someone active on the forums genuinely thinking either car was dead (as much as some wanted the Wendover to be), and the devs had/have made multiple statements about them both. The Wendover has had multiple official statements in the last 3 months or so alone...
We all know the Vivace is the one that died.
