So I was lurching around in the games lua files seeing if I can make a tire thermal system but it appeared that the devs beat me to it. It looks to be pretty simple only increasing the grip when the temperature raises. This is found in (Beamng/lua/vehicle/wheels.LUA). I'll try to use this as a template. No promises.

The update could be earlier as the updates don't have to be released on a friday for example 0.18 was released on a monday
Probably not, It's incredibly unlikely that they'd push out an update on a weekend due to the fact that they do not work on weekends, in the case of a major problem occurring with the update.
If the update goes live this Friday, we'll see a map or vehicle trailer no later than Wednesday, I would expect.
I highly doubt we'll see an update soon. Most spring updates are in early-mid April. We still have a lot to see first: Cherrier Vivace Devblog Part 2 (Interior, Parts, Configurations) Vivace Trailer (may be part of above or not released until update) Level remaster posts/blog/trailer. (Small Island, Port?, Industrial Site?, JRI?) More D/H/Roamer improvement posts? More lighting improvement posts?
