That's why you can make a fan wiki instead (or even fix up a older fan wiki), and update it yourself. Also, editing the original Wiki is kinda made pointless to begin with when the devs themselves are gonna put official information (and make it a lot more accurate than the old wiki).

I'm not at all interested in seeing this thread locked AGAIN, so can you all please stop overreacting and take your wiki argument elsewhere?

 

Gabester answered this question on reddit (yes, that is his account).

"The dirt texture was never meant to be made into a skin to be shipped with the game. It doesn't work correctly with a lot of the parts. It completely predates the skin system (with the 2nd channel UVs), so it's on the 1st channel UVs, which are not meant for this sort of thing. With all of the surgery and updating we've had to do to the D-Series, it didn't make any sense to keep and update this old dirt skin when it's not part of any future plans and there's no way to make it work nicely."

It's available in my Legacy Pack though. (shameless plug)

Well, I hope things go well when you make that thread and I hope the devs don't lock it.

 

I don't believe the devs have directly said anything about it, though the line "not part of any future plans" makes me think the answer is no.

 

Likely not, but you could replicate it with a simple skin mod if you want to.

Maintenance its just... maintenance. There is nothing big behind it. Everyone doing it from time to time.

 

on the topic of the pronounciation of "cherrier vivace", I'd be interested to hear the pronounciations of all the other car brands/models in the game. for example, I always thought of hirochi as "hee-ro-chee" but when they made that video about the physics a couple of years back, and mitch pronounced it "hi-roh-kee" I was surprised.
I've also always thought the same about covet. is it pronounced like the word for wanting something, "cuh-vet" or is it like YBR says it, "coh-vet" or even a hard "o" sound?
is ibishu pronounced "ih-bih-shoe" or "ie-bee-shoe" or some other way?
is soliad pronounced "sole-ee-add" or soh-lee-add"?
these things keep me up at night. I NEED ANSWERS.

Is it me or does WCUSA run like crap? I get close to 60 on most other maps except WCUSA, been that way since the map was released.
