Update Speculation thread

Aww, I have heard of Rigs of Rods, but only played it once. Sorry about the useless post.

 

The classic car in the middle is ported to BeamNG.

 

But the BNG port is completely different from the original one underneath the body panels

 

I wonder what's taking the hopper so long? It looked almost done when we last saw it.

 

Well you won't get an update released if there unfinished stuff still left to do for the update. Hopper may be done but there is also a lot of other stuff.

 

We don't know the status of the interior. Or the quality of the deformation. So no, we don't know how close to finished it is.

 

It looked nowhere near done. No interior, no proper details, etc.

I don't know why it took me this long to realize that the LeGran is probably either completed or near completion. Gabe himself said like a year or two ago that the reason the progress on it was paused was due to the fact that they weren't able to implement MacPherson struts into BeamNG at the time. There are cars in the game right now with Macs, so it makes sense that progress has continued on the LeGran. I feel like they are withholding most/all progress until the release (something we all know the devs like to do) and are going to surprise us for the holidays. If not the holidays, maybe New Years. But what do I know, I'm just a happy Beam customer :^)

 

$20.00 is a steal for this game, honestly. If you compare the dollar to hour ratio (with me at least, 160 hours), it is well worth the price. The community is great too, and I will be happy with whatever is in the next update.

About the LeGran, I don't think that it is completely finished because of all of the cars the devs have released in the meantime, they needed time to make the entire ETK lineup, and other cars as well. They haven't said a word about the LeGran, but newer cars like the Ibishu Hopper are already in-game and almost finished. When the devs are about to release a car, they tease it a bunch of times, but it could be a surprise like the first ETK. Either way, there will most likely be a car in the next update and I will have fun smashing it.

Another thing the devs might be holding the original cars like the LeGran out for could be the final release. We're at .7 already, and even though there is a lot more work to be done to make this game release-worthy, we are arriving at that date. I'd like to think that the devs will continue to produce high-quality cars even after the release, but even if they do, progress will most likely slow down a lot, with some members moving on to different projects.

So that's my rambling over with.

 

I think gabe also mentioned at some point the model for the LeGran was screwed up in some way, so he had to make it again. (or at least that's what I remember)

 

Probably needs to be worded differently to this but I'm fairly sure Gabester himself said that they hired somebody to do the model and it somehow got screwed/not finished or not high enough quality. Don't quote me on this but it was along the lines of what I said.

Maybe they'll be used in the future?

Also, am I the only one who's going to be extremely disappointed if the next update does not add a new vehicle? I mean, the I-Series was released back in July, and now it's December.

Who else thinks there might be a chance that there could be a Christmas update that adds both the LeGran and the Hopper? I'm not saying it will happen, as the likelihood is very low.

 

I'll say 50% chance we get the Hopper, 40% LeGran, 10% both

 

The hopper dosnt even have an interior, most likely, its the LeGran

 

Even though the LeGran was voted to be the next car in game. We'll see what happens.

I kinda hope to see the LeGran in game soon, along with the Hopper. I feel confident that the errors that the LeGran went through has been resolved. Yet, @gabester has not shown us any recent images of the car, which has me wondering about how it's doing.

While I'm excited for both, I'm actually hoping for the LeGran to come first, mostly because of the time it has spent in development hell. The Hopper has not been in development as long as the LeGran, Bluebuck, and Wendover has. But, I'll be satisfied with whatever comes first. unlike last time *cringe*

But I have heard that LeGran's model is unusable in BNG and devs have to sort of re-do it as LeGran was mentioned last time.
We'll see when the update come out then

 

I think its due. Last update was way back on the 3rd of October ( or hear there ) Last patch was 7th of October. Tomorrows Friday ( Saturday where i am )

There have Done alot. But no new car as Legran needed work. Anyway no new car since the I-series.

So i think it's coming soon.

Why? Well been a while. They have 2 cars ingame. ( hooper-Jeep ) And the legrand.

They have there new drive code.

We know the update will be. 0.7.2

We qill get the mini GPS to work. ( and maybe the sunburst and sbr4's factory GPS will work )




Well somewhere there was a Car with a V6 engine. But had the Ibishu Hubcaps?

Now maybe it's the legrand.???

or a new car. The Jeep thing has a i4 or i6 ( that i know of )
