its a square, yesssss. wait untill yall see a triangle. actually, beams logo is a triangle, so does the square mean that there will be an extra part?
I have inside information about the game. It will feature 1050 cars and 150 20x20 km maps, as well as non-automotive vehicles. PM me for more info.
I would love to see a 50's pickup (probably an early predecessor to the D-series), a British roadster, or a prewar car (3 important archetypes that aren't represented in-game yet):
I doubt that. The vehicle team is fairly big, they were working on 3 projects that we know of: Cherrier FCV (which is itself a lot), D-Series remaster (I assume one of the more involved ones we will be looking at), and Ferretank's truck. Yes they could get these remasters out faster with the whole team on it, but that's not a great idea considering how important new content is from a development standpoint. Official square confirmed
The Wendover could well serve as a british roadster. Come think of it, they could simply put a V12 under its hood and say the mechanical base of the new car is the Jaguar XJ-S... See, "enlarged LeGran" no more, and they could also put the unused V12 sound samples to good use! /s
See, that would be interesting for career mode - learning that your $1500 V12 car actually is not that fast, and having to get it repaired for $4000. --- Post updated --- I think the game should focus on the more common unrepresented cars, like various 00s cars.
I wonder what is the state of the Campaign mode right now. It might be very close but the devs kept it secret (very unlikely tho).
At first I wasn't really interested by a campaign, but the new scenario Gravity Fuel made me realize how awesome a real campaign with personnal cars could be awesome... Where you earn money and you can improve your car inside the garage, or just refuel it after a race... If you guys manage to make it properly it can be a really good addition to the game (maybe the final addition ?)
