Circular mirrors too. To me it looks like a illustration instead of an actual image of a K series. Similar to the cutscenes in the Utah career demo campaign.
I would say that this is possible race preped K-Series. Though, I've never seen a race car with usual gauges and infotainment.
the circular mirrors could just be an illusion of an oval being turned into a circle because you’re looking at it from an angle.
So I was searching through the Lua trying to find out more about the games aero system when I came across a little gem. So It appears the the Devs have been working on their own multiplayer. There are 3 files that I found. they are located at: Programfiles x86 / Steam / steamapps / common / Beamng.drive / Lua / ge / serverConnection.lua Programfiles x86 / Steam / steamapps / common / Beamng.drive / Lua / ge / server / server.lua & commands.lua The files in the server folder were added in the last update. serverConnection.lua was added on the 7th Feb 2019 which I admit shines a bit of doubt on its relavence server.lua appears to be in charge of loading the maps, spawning the stuff and syncing all that up. commands.lua I believe syncs the player camera with the server serverConnection.lua seems to just manage manage the server connection I encourage you to have a look for your self. You never know what you'll find
Woah. Woah. Some dev correct him now I don't want to believe multiplayer will be a thing(A A A A A A A A)
It's not a secret that there was some research done into it, that was stated back in Over the Horizon.
Sorry to shoot down that ballon immediately, these files are leftovers from the Torque3D structure, in our game they have nothing to do with multiplayer
Why does everyone gets hyped by multiplayer when we already have a community mod making online multiplayer (Titch's mod)
Why does everyone want multiplayer? this game will suck as a multiplayer game. Plus people have figured out ways to get the multi seat feature to work somehow online. Didn't ROR have multiplayer but you couldn't crash into other people?
I didn't try the mod yet but i would say because it's rare to have community made MP conversions that work properly, depending on the game engine ending up with something that works smoothly with a proper netcode and synchronization of the various actions is really hard. Even more so if you don't have full access to the SDK and code of the game. TruckersMP and sa:mp (san andreas multiplayer) are the only ones that come to mind. That being said i'll download the mod right away. It's a sandbox with vehicles and big maps, does it really need to be explained? I personally would spend much more time in mp than in sp.
I remember the hundred of hours I played ROR in multiplayer with my brother, and the amount of fun we had even if there wasn't collisions. Multiplayer is always beneficial for a game, even more in a sandbox car game where you can quickly feel a bit alone. Right now the mod works and is enjoyable. It's still not perfect (the cars move at 20 refresh per second), but the mod is still WIP. They are still doing improvements to raise the numbre of refresh per second and improve the stability, and it looks really promising (there's a preview video where they show that). It's really impressive how far they went when seeing the complexity of beam's engine and the amount of data needed to be sent to make it looks realistic
Tbh racing against real people is always better than with AI. Well, as long as they're not 10yo kids that will ram you, but in this game this would happen only once >: ) Also RP servers would be interesting. Personally splitscreen would be enough but well, looks like we don't have it soon either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's crazy, i honestly didn't think much of it due to the complexity of the physics engine and the fact that there is no foundation for the multiplayer. Seems awfully complex to get working properly. Will download it today and test it!
