Maybe they'll add a Pacer-esque 'power bulge' bonnet to accommodate larger engines? Or something involving a hack-job facelift, a big chrome grille, and an underpowered, emissions choked V8.
Not a chance. Look at its current state. All of the fine details are nonexistent, it appears to just be a bare model, and it's not even in game yet. It's a long way from release.
I have to admit, I really don't like how steeply that hood slopes. Either that, or the car in general looks a little squashed. The Buick LeSabre and Pontiac Bonneville of the era don't have this same sort of "squashed look"; not to that extent, at least. They have a decent amount of sheet metal between their fenders and hood; the Wendover has none at all. Really hope this is just a quick render to establish that the vehicle is in the making, and not how it'll actually come out; that hood looks like it would cut off almost all engine swap options, and may not even fit the stock V6.
I imagine if they had any intent of it they would've just made the hood slope less to begin with. The Lancia Ferrari has the steepest nose of any car I know of with such a drivetrain/layout, and it isn't nearly as steep as the Wendover even though her V8 was only a 2.9L. *Cue the "Civetta Wendover" crowd* Still, I imagine a front bumper delete, small front/rear lips, and an aggressive hood would actually look cool on this; though I have the taste of a 5 year old and love anything with exaggerated proportions anyway...
ah yes constructive criticism I don't see why people can't appreciate the hard work that went into making that model and the work that'll go into putting it in-game. + the LeGran is a sedan, this is a Coupe.
I kind of agree with him, not many people like the legran, and there are coupe mods that make it look like a wendover. plus, there aren't many fwd coupes in the world.
more variety and FWD coupes were pretty common in the US in the 80s overall I think this car is a good idea, and even if people think it's shit and it should be scrapped, it won't. cuz people spent time on it they wouldn't show us a teaser like this if they weren't sure about putting it in-game it'll also be a good platform for beginner modders and people that want to make it better to their eyes
IMO I'll welcome the Wendower very happily because I've been very hyped since early this year to have it in-game, and I like a lot this kind of cars. We need it? Probably the coupe version of the LeGran will do its thing, but having a wide variety of vehicles is better than having a wide variety of chasis. What we can't say, though, is that the Wendover it's a shitty car. I'm sure it will be way better than the LeGran, as being newer than it (developement-wise) could bring new features (addons, materials, models, etc.) and I'm also sure that it will be unique in some aspect, as every car in Beam is. This is my opinion, but I think that the devs will surprise us and for sure we need to respect them and their work!
What if they release the Sadlad and the remastered LeGran in the same update? "80s Shitbox Update" anyone?
