D-series interior remaster has been confirmed from what I can see https://www.instagram.com/p/CFAf8w5lMwg/
The fact that this interior has a foot operated parking brake while it has a manual is what concerns me... you definitely don't wanna press the parking brake when you meant to hit the clutch...
All trucks from that era have that. My autos class had a c/k 1500 with the 5 speed manual and it has a foot operated one. A friend of mine let me drive his 89 s10 and it had the same.
A foot operated parking brake is kind of difficult to confuse for a clutch pedal. They are kind of at an awkward position where you can't just roll your heel to move the pedal. In the Suburban and Regal you need to lift your foot in the air to activate the parking brake.
My 2004 xterra has a clutch and foot operated parking brake. In my 8 years of driving it I have never gotten close to mistaking the parking brake for the clutch. I have, however, gotten close to trying to use the parking brake as a clutch on automatics.
The bad point of foot-operated parking brake on a manual is that doing a hillstart with the parking brake is more tricky. But there is almost no risk of confusing with the clutch pedal because the parking brake pedal is mounted far higher.
Whats updated there? Just because devs show pictures does not mean there is anything new! It's just a random picture!
0.21 has the potential for being the most exciting update ever. D-series revamp pt-3, maybe Bolide revamp, maybe legran revamp, maybe even the Soliad. Definitely the WCUSA Remaster. I can imagine it in the devblog now, "0.21 - The 80's Update".
Australian utes are based on Australian cars. American utes are based on American cars. Not sure where the confusion is.
