I'd imagine and hope that JRI would be a great off-roading map, and exploring map (that is if more WWII items get added in like plane wrecks, sunk submarines, shipwrecks, etc). I'm going to guess that JRI will come out alongside the Wendover since we haven't heard that much development progress on the Wendover lately with only having a teased photo of it in W.I.P, and JRI is still having concept photos drawn of what it could look like. I personally wouldn't be surprised if the map is released in 0.22 or later.
I realized that I completely forgot to update my spreadsheet about updates time span, so here it is ! I didn't counted the time spans that are below 100 days as they made the average time a bit too low to be accurate.
JRI's lore is pretty fascinating, looks like a island in Japanese occupation during the Second World War even maybe before, then either invaded or regained by the Americans during what it seems like '44. After the war, it looks like it's been industrialized and is partly made into a research island too, then slowly being abandoned maybe due to low profits. And because of the island's tropical nature, it's been made to be a tourist island, full of animals and beaches, destroyed structures do still remain, becoming popular sights for tourists.
Both. Marston mat is the material that the US forces used for temporary runways in WWII and Vietnam. Refer to the JRI runway that the drag race scenario is on.
A system of steel planking used extensively by U.S. forces during the second world war, primarily to quickly construct aircraft runways in remote locations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marston_Mat
you just misread my spreadsheet (I must admit it's not very clear ), for the "date of update" you must read the second version number of the "version" column (for example : 06 August 2020 is for 0,20), and the "Time passed" column is for the amount of days between the 0,19 update and 0,20
Id say they realised they shot out too many pics at once and they realized they don't have anything anymore :]
Thats a very big assumption, they are perhaps releasing something big what with all the quietness and going to surprise us with something nice (Moonhawk remaster anyone ?) but career mode is probably a massive amount of work that they'll surely drop even the slightest hint of it being in the works, so far we've gotten nothing at all over past few years apart from the fact that they want to do it, i could be wrong though but without single word being spilt over its existence is very unlikely
no, too many other things to work on. Wendover, Crawler Prerunner, JRI remaster, and wcusa remaster. and the bolide if they're doing that.
