Looking for logos, I found this rebranding project made 2 years ago:



I don't know if a rebranding is being considered at all after this time (maybe not this one, but any at all), but I have to say I quite dig the proposed look (specially with the full .drive version), maybe the logo itself loses a bit of sense, since it looks more fancy, but you can't tell it's supposed to be beams and nodes, but anyway.

On the topic of bird research, was there ever a bird research skin on the D-Series? I distinctly remember there being one before the update, but I'm not sure if it was a mod or not.

Found this in the JRI files.

 

A small town be cool, especially since I think DRI had one back when it was still a thing. Maybe they plan to do a JRI Remaster Part 2 in the future?

Maybe the devs wanted to add some sort of Japanese township to Jungle Rock. Would make sense since Hawaii has a lot of Japanese people.

 

Going through files on the etk800. I saw something which said etk800_v12_parts.dae. I can only speculate that a possible ETK 800/K Series revamp is coming in 0.22/0.23. On mobile so don’t have photos

 

tbh the modern etks really lack in content.
Remaster could be likely, but other cars like the Legran and Bolide really need it more.

That shows they totally considered JRI being wholly Japanese at some point, or at least have a fairly well established Jap population (to pair with the wartime bunkers and such).
I should imagine that they didn't go through with it due to a shortage of time, and the fact they'd need to research Japanese road signs, markings, etc.

Either that or it's potentially a test mesh for a new unmentioned map?
I can't imagine they'll re-remaster the same map again. Plus they're still rocking the Hawaii plates.

 

Italy did get finished the update after release, so it isn't impossible that some additions were left for a later time.

In terms of content they definetly need attention, but I can't think of any quality issues that warrent a true remaster

 

How long has this been in the files of WCUSA?


There were a few other signs (one involving the gas pipelines you see around the map and one for the Tennis court, So maybe the devs are working on adding more signage to WCUSA but ran out of time?
