Update Speculation thread

I believe the partially-covered yellow car is an ETK K series based on the height, position of the A pillar, and rims.

 

I know it's only been three hours, but I've gotta go ahead and say that this update is probably my favorite. My favorite car got released, my second favorite got a remaster, and Walking Mode is just so fun.

That being said, I can't wait for what you devs will do next. The Wendover was the last vehicle on the original poll. Will we get a new poll, or will you keep us in the dark and surprise us like what you did with the DT40L and Vivace? What's the next vehicle to be remastered?

I wonder if the new police legran is military police. I can't tell because the badge is somewhat pixelated for me but it looks like "department of the army".

That'd be interesting, for sure. I don't know if it's on their priority list; it probably isn't that high, seeing how there's already a world editor and you could recreate the world yourself (or get a collab going).

Just confirmed that what it says since the wendover has the same image but larger and less pixelated.

 

just out of curiosity, will the Player (Unicycle in the vehicle selector) have ragdoll physics? It would be hilarious.

It's obvious to me that the devs are now taking a HARD turn towards implementing at least a rudimentary career mode, so what does everyone think - summer, winter, or next spring?

Winter. Maybe some really early alpha version that comes out in summer, beta version in winter, and full career mode in winter of 2022.

 

And also, the new UI can't come soon enough. The devs, when they do these remasters, seem to be annoyingly good at finding the exact configuration which is my favorite to drive, and deleting it to keep config spam down. Last time it was the D15 Custom Classic regular cab. This time it's the LeGran Tow Package with the manual. Argh.

 

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the three people who voted for the Wendover to be the next car in-game way back in 2012? @Superman , @Zorin-Ind. , and an unknown third user (we used to be able to view names in polls, but that function was removed from the forums. The other two names were found in the thread itself). If you're still here, we salute you!

So... what happens now with vehicles? Will the dev team post a new set of vehicles and a new poll? Or is every vehicle going to be a surprise from now on?
