It certainly doesn't share the same current frame. I suppose it could share the back 2/3 of the frame, but that isn't enough to justify them sharing a vehicle selector space. Even if it does share the back 2/3 of the frame, suspension, and engine, that isn't really any more similar than the LeGran/Wendover is from a construction standpoint. To me that doesn't seem enough to justify them sharing a vehicle selector space.

It's not a Bond Bug. It's primarily a Vanguard Citicar with some fictional & Bond Bug inspirations

Sorry Sitthy, but everything from the general shape to the fully plastic doors to the headlights to the hood scoop are all Bond Bug. The only Citicar like thing is the four wheeledness.

So I'm actually hoping the wigeon doesn't end up being electric. A 550cc engine would make more sense (the vent on the hood is probably bigger than it is on the citicar because it needs some kind of air intake). It could actually be pretty sporty depending on the suspension, I'll bet the turning circle is like 2 meters at most

It will most likely be sharing drivetrain parts with the Pigeon, so the petrol & diesel engines are pretty much a sealed deal. I'd love for it to have an electric motor, even if it would be 10hp (or so) by default, but something tells me they won't include one... but I hope the diesel I3 will get a 5-speed transmission, as it's lacking one really badly

That would mean it gets a 700cc gasoline engine, but as it looks smaller than the Pigeon, something tells me it would otherwise qualify as a kei car

I really think that they might be trying to make this a kei car, especially as it's clearly a JDM version, which makes me wonder if there's a Japanese map in the works as it's the only place something like this would make sense.

It has vent, so I think there could be some bike engine basically. Honda cbr 599cc would fit for example. The question is that if the chassis is swappable with pigeon. And if that means the pigeon superbuild is more than just possible.

To qualify as a kei car between 1976 and 1990, the Wigeon would need:
    • No longer than 3.2 meters
    • No wider than 1.4 meters
    • No taller than 2.0 meters
    • Engine no larger than 550 cc (either two- or four-stroke, no power limit)
    • Warning chime above 50 mph (80.5 km/h; I would forgive the devs for not bothering with this one)
From what I can see, the Wigeon easily fits into this box, in fact it looks even smaller assuming those lines on the ground are square meters. Few kei cars have ever used less than the maximum allotted length and width - more recent kei cars tend to follow a "tall box" format, maxing out all three dimensions:

And even the Autozam AZ-1 makes full use of the 3.3/1.4 meters (kei cars got an extra 10 cm in 1990):

Were the Wigeon to be sold as a microcar but not a kei car, it would be subject to taxes that larger kei cars could avoid. And if it were simply sold as a normal kei car, it would not be competitive with those larger vehicles. The only way the Wigeon would make sense would be as a "sports kei car," optimized not for space efficiency but for driving enjoyment. At the same time, that is really the only kind of kei car that would make sense from a gameplay standpoint as most are actually quite boring to drive.

Wait, how many cylinders does a bond bug have? We could maybe have a new engine sound! ( If it's 1 or 2 cylinders)

It's probably the metallic paint combined with the odd design - if it were matte I think it would look more realistic (not that I mind of course :D )
