We need physically simulated engines
Fuel movement is simulated, so theoretically, you could use lua and get data from fuel node I believe, cut engine when desired conditions are met, it might be possible, no guarantees though.
Hundreds more nodes, many times the buggyness, and harder to make. All for what? A bit of vibration?
we just need a higher detail damage model for the engine. You should be able to have mechanical problems

Funnily enough, it was just last week I made jbeam for physical engine, haven't done lua for it yet, but indeed it is something that needs to be done.
2000Hz is not enough to run car engine though, but for 60rpm ship engine it should be enough.
I think most ridiculous simulation aspect we need is light bulb life, environment temperature as well as cooling effect of airflow and size of compartment bulb resides in are variables that are needed, obviously vibration too, but that is really obvious parameter.
So then you need to replace light bulb realistic way, by removing front bumper and inner fender + ton of other parts.
Resetting of vehicle, should not fix light bulbs.
I'm sure this will come right at next hotfix.
Anyway, OT, what do you think, will Linux support come in hotfix or will there be another update, or is it trough Wine only for now?
I would think that Linux binaries could come as a hotfix as they might need more time to finetune, then again it is not quite certain how Beam will come to Linux, would running it trough Wine as supported option be classified as coming to Linux?

Wreckless drivers in general aren't very dangerous, it's the reckless drivers you have to be careful about
not a speculation too, but 0.24 should change the dynamic reflections system to be a little different, like all cars had the dynamic reflections in a certain radius, instead of it showing only on the car you're driving
That's interesting idea, but firstly there would have to be wear and condition 'slider' for each vehicle to have damages caused by wear. Right now you spawn brand new vehicle except beaters and derby configs.
Btw did anyone notice that weather systems are no longer available in environmental tab (i'm talking about raining and snow)?
I guess someone forgot to include this as a config?
with the release of the updated pigeon and wigeon this update and last update being the legran and wendover it seams that we are getting one new car to go with the updated cars of the same theme.
The pigeon got the wigeon variant because its a small car that doesn't have alot of content, so adding that would make the update more sizeable
Charro/D-Series as a pair as well. Kind of.
The charro is still under the same vehicle tree.
It is just the Track Day config with driving academy livery.
The ETK 800 and ETK K Series got new interior colors, but still have dated textures. I speculate that a revamp will happen with a V12 K series and 800 refresh.
