Update Speculation thread

They are finally fixing horrible performance issues in an up and coming update.

 

that response said ''we are looking into it'' not ''we are fixing that in the next update''

 

Agreed with above comment, these performance fixes might either be a hotfix or fixed at a later date with enough information gathered, depends how long away the update is.

 

No, but it means it will be done in the future, and im very excited because my performance is complete crap and they've directly listened to me.

Forget the new content. Fixing the awful performance on AMD systems is the only thing that I'm excited for now. The stuttering, low FPS, and frame drops are ridiculous. Even flagship cards like the 6900XT struggle with these issues, and it's only in BeamNG.

 

this will be huge if it doesn't mess up

 

the problem is that the game doesn't use enough resources so the card defaults to power saving mode every 3 seconds and drops the clocks.

 

I Think the update is near, having no mods aproved today being a monday, might not be this week, but it is getting close for sure, might be somewhere between this week and the next.

 

Itll be in a couple weeks, For the meantime, fh5 releases on the 9th

 

not really sure what is going on on your side, but my R7 3700X and flagship Sapphire Vega 64 runs fine without issues even in Beam.

 

Hmm. Their update schedule is kind of wonky. I figured it would be quarterly considering they're calling them winter, spring and summer updates. Guess it's more a weird trimester and maybe the update will be in December? Been 4 months since the last major update already, and outside teasing a fridge, the pessima remodel, and a new car they've been very quiet since then. That stuff is cool, but I'm more interested in potential physics and audio changes, or even if they're actually going to fix the triple screen mode they released completely broken a year ago.

 

I'm not even Hyped for FH5, my RX570 and Ryzen 3 3200G can't even handle FH3, and with current prices, i'm not even able to upgrade, but at least BeamNG is still pretty playable, and even with the uppdates it keeps quite stable.

But I'm HYPED for BeamNG update, new car, Pessima Remaster, Fridge.

They stated they would release it around November, as they skipped 1 update cicle to focus more on a better update.

 

I get stuttering issues as well as lower FPS than in earlier builds of the game. The stuttering is super annoying, it occurs every few seconds.

 

This monday was a state holiday in most of Germany, maybe that's why

 

So we're Tuesday again, and the eternal question kicks in one more time :

"Do you, people, think that we're gonna have a teaser this evening ? (~6:45 PM where I live)"

In my opinion, that is a 90 % probability : we didn't have any teaser last week, and we didn't have any news on the map category (I mean that it's not impossible that we receive a remastered map, or even a brand new one), so if a teaser pops, it mays be about an hypothetical map.
...Or maybe on something totally different, like one more time one the new car, or maybe even on the Civetta Bolide (yes I know, I'm probably the only one that thinks that it could be remastered this update (So lonely... Mr lonely... ))
Furthermore, the update is getting closer and closer, there's just a bit less than two weeks until mid-November, and I pretty sure that if the update was very late, devs, who see our hype growing in this thread, would make a post saying "Dudes calm down, the update won't make it for mid-November, thanks for your comprehension".
That's why I guess that the update has pretty nice chances to be released until ~25 days

 

I just wanna know what the major feature will be since it seems like each major update includes some sort of new major game play or visual feature. the last one was PBR and the one before that was walk mode.


I'm hopeful for a UI overhaul honestly.

 

I think moving all maps to full Pbr is enough to call it a remaster as it will look stunning and obviously they're doing that because why wouldn't they so this is my teaser Tuesday, just imagine it, pbr ground, grass buildings trees roads.... Ahhhhh

 

Yeah, the current UI has been in use since at least 2015. However, the one they teased three years ago looks a bit outdated right now. It will most likely something that we have never seen before if it is getting an update.
