I don't know.. but to me the buildings in Italy look really washed out. Arethere going to be dirt and window textures? To me the town looks like somebody flew over it in a helicopter and dumped a TON of dish soap over it, then had 10 power-washers wash the whole thing off.
Will WCUSA have some sort of airport or hospital? I might try to make some sort of GTA-style campaign and hospital or airport would help. Note: Yeah, using the same strategy as NoxiousFumes did, so Mitch can show us another screens
even though the video is a joke, it does do a good job of making 30 kmh feel like 900 kmh. if shake was added at extreme speeds (and it could be turned off) i think it would be a fun detail
Oh, those optimizations are certainly going to do something if they can now make that much bigger islands and still meet same hardware target which I believe is the case. I really hope 0.9 changes way BeamNG runs on my system.
I wonder if WCUSA will have: A big parking lot An underground parking lot A jump from the top of a skyscraper Bus stops Taxi depots A place under construction A heliport A ferry port A big park A warehouse A school A supermarket A hiking trail Radars on the road Abandoned houses and buildings A scissors factory? (I'm running out of ideas, help)
A big parking lot/an underground parking lot - Both would be a nice little setting for Youtube crash compilations. Like the CCTV ones for example. A jump from the top of a skyscraper - Sounds like fun. I think maybe it could have the same type of camera feature found at Grid Map. If you've encountered it, you'll know what I'm talking about. Taxi depots - Would go hand in hand with the GM taxi, and other taxi mods like my ETK I-Series taxi pack that's still WIP. A place under construction - Hopefully filled with plenty of spots where you can easily crash cars. A heliport - If any of the helicopter mods are updated and working for whatever update WCA comes with, this would be a nice place for them. A ferry port - Maybe you could dock the Pembroke there for fun? Or you could just throw cars off the edge and into the water lol. A school - When used with ThreeDTech21's school bus mods, they'll both go hand in hand. Abandoned houses and buildings - I so wouldn't take spooky scary 2spooky4u screenshots there. A scissors factory? - If that's the case, I hope we could get a giant scissors prop like the giant hammer prop.
The devs can do what they want, and I feel that the map is nearly finished, so it's too far along to have major changes. Let the Devs do what they want, it's their game.
I know, but I wanted to stop this before one of the mods gets annoyed. I make games in my free time, and I know as a fact that I hate it when people tell me to do something that I never planned to do (And that would take lots of time)
Hey guys I've got some amazing speculation right here: lemme just do some calculations OK I have deciphered that West Coast USA is set in America :O
so i averaged the days in 1 and 2 months i think the update will be around the 15th also i did some staring at the hopper and i found this
I wouldn't expect an airport ... large swaths of tarmac like runways have to be put in place at the same time as roads, so they are apparent very early in the map design process. For example, if we look at the very first announcement images for Italy, we can see the runway being planned out. The hospital is a bit of a wild card though. Given that not all the buildings in urban areas have been placed yet, its a strong possibility. The presence of warehouses in one of the two industrial areas is almost a given. They're large, easy-to-model buildings that quickly fill a lot of space. As for the scissors factory, I think that we'd be a little more likely to see a Pointie factory or Tasti-cola bottling plant. The hiking trail itself is probably a no-go, but its possible that the road that dead-ends in the forest could be leading to some sort of national park facility. If bus stops are present, I expect them to appear in the form of signs bolted to lampposts. The devs seem to be avoiding self-standing signs at the moment, except for ones behind guardrails. A construction site would be pretty cool ... and a logical place for a delivery mission from the confirmed cement plant to terminate. Best of all, it wouldn't require much more than a large depression in the ground and perhaps a nearby structure in the ironworking stage.
The unfinished-ness of that model may make it look newer than it is (lack of trim and whatnot). The bumpers and wheels make it look mid-2000's, but based on those things, it might be 1980's or older. It's really hard to tell.
