It's the fastest FWD car to ever go around the Nurburgring with a time of 7 minutes 20 seconds... it puts down 528 hp to the front wheels, I hope the bastion can either match that or top it. (pretty sure I butchered that spelling)
The way you put it is clear and I think you're right. The V6 sound as is fits the 80s/90s V6s best but modern V6s sound a bit different.
I don't think it's fair to say the Bastion doesn't deserve a flat or crossplane crank (or that a pushrod engine is "enough" :b). While it's the "lore friendly Charger", it's still gonna be an amalgamation of different marques. That spec'd variant we just got teased is probably rocking whatever the top-of-the-line engine is going to be, and I would be extremely surprised if they didn't go for something completely new to the game for the engine. Considering the idea is to have an American car that can keep up with the other two really fast cars (SBR and the Vivace), it's going to need to be light, and well-balanced. Probably with the capability to run AWD as well. Also considering that one of the Barstow track configs uses a small block for balance, it wouldn't surprise me if the Bastion had a Mustang GT350 analogue. (I know they're different brands, but we're more likely to get that than a modern Gavril competitor) All this to say we're probably going to have more than one V8 to pick from, and they're more than likely going to have different characteristics from each other. (We also still don't know whether we're getting any other bodystyles yet :b)
I'd be shocked to see other Bastion body styles/sister cars, but it's definetly very high on my wishlist. There's a lot of potential content and multiple empty niches that could get filled by this platform.
As i saw it with the lacking RV Upfit and Utility Upfit on the H-Series i highly doubt they will use the potential of make another bodystyle on the Bastion. Lost potential in my opinion but miracles do happen from time to time. We will see:
It sounds OK with low end and factory exhausts but as soon as you put any form of aftermarket exhaust on it the sound above 4000 RPM is just undescribable. It just sounds bad. --- Post updated --- It would be interesting if they made a new Moonhawk based on a shortened Bastion chassis similar to the relationship between the modern Challenger and Charger. That would be cool. And made an old Bastion from the Moonhawk era that was basically a 4 door Moonhawk with a slightly different design. Technically a 4-door Moonhawk exists on the repo it just has no real design difference.
and the impliance of existance of bruckell piglins, this also implies the existance of bruckell hoglins OT: I personally think the teaser we got is just a trackday/barebones race variant made out of a base model, it will probably have some alt fascias for more luxury/sporty variants
Well that's what the Demon is. It's a car built for the drag strip made street legal. Doesn't even have a passenger seat.
Yes, I have used it, it is not useful at the moment, its a cool idea, but as the game literally doesnt have a career mode, its not useful. Yes I literally said the 2 remasters are cool but thats about the only useful content in 6 months, a new car and remaster. Look im not arguing anymore, I was stating my opinion about the update and giving constructive criticisms.
I think the new car will most likely drop next week. I don't see it being the week after as it's too close to Christmas so the devs will probably want a break for the holidays.
It's also baffling how a DOHC 2.7 has the same sound as a pushrod 3.8. I can't really comment on the accuracy of the DOHC 2.7 sound, but I can certainly say that a pushrod 3.8 sounds absolutely nothing like they do in the game at all. They have a deeper and "cleaner" tone, but get very trumpet-y at higher RPMs if they aren't muffled.
For 0.25 that'll come out in 2022, I really really hope for a night and weather remaster because god damn the current night looks... Not good, it's basically a dark filter
