Can we get back to actually speculating instead of name suggestions for a car we don’t even know will be made?
So looking at gameplay things we've been getting... I'm hoping to see some more traditional extraneous gameplay stuff added with the new map/mission system. For example, some treasure hunt items would be a great way to add some map lore. Perhaps a postcard/beauty spot/whatever could give us some background on Civetta's statue in Italy, the abandoned mineshafts in Utah, and the 1960's street racing scene of Belasco
Nah, because it sounds like the Plymouth Sundance! --- Post updated --- True that, it would be a nice and aesthetically pleasing way of getting players to know the BeamNG lore! To what you said, I'll add the skyscraper of Belasco and a storyline of how and when it was created. There could also be storylines about how the Financial Center, the Belasco Metro, the Convention Center and the BCPD were conceived and how they helped the Belasco society through the years! Merry Christmas everyone (because I felt that nobody said this), happy new year and may it bring us what we want!!
People have been clamoring for a rotary engined car. People have also been clamoring for a remastered Moonhawk (myself included for both of these). Now what if...they combined the two? ... No, no, hear me out. Along with the remastered Moonhawk, they could add a compact car that shares many parts with the Moonhawk based off of cars like the AMC Pacer and AMC Gremlin. The AMC Pacer was originally designed to use a Wankel engine, but that never came to fruition after AMC trusted General Motors not to be their usual disappointing selves. So, what if the BeamNG devs could right this historic wrong and put a rotary engine in an American compact car from the '70s?
I don't think it's because of this --- Post updated --- And thanks. Merry Christmas everyone! --- Post updated --- Also would be interesting if they added Kammback style compact (something like Chevy Vega)
Hell yeah can't wait to to see a million mods swapping the rotary in literally every other BeamNG car
I'm not expecting a rotary only because of the ssituation with sounds. If they are having so much trouble getting better V8 sounds then I can only imagine the trouble it would be to get a rotary set up
I don't expect the Moonhawk to be powered by a rotary simply because it's not the most appropriate type of vehicle for such an engine. The Moonhawk is a 3700lbs lazy and spongy piece of Americana. A rotary is just too small to even move this car in decency. I expect this engine to be part of a small and light sports car much more than a car like the Moonhawk. But one of the things I do expect the Moonhawk to have is a T-Top body and (why not) a convertible one. Also, it's already proven that the Bastion engines suit it well, despite the fact that some adjustments need to be done in order for them to fit in the engine bay without clipping and without having to get rid of the exhaust (not a problem with me this one since I love the unmuffled BeamNG V8 sound, it's just a typical fitment notice).
If we were to get a rotary, I think they’d do something like a first gen rx7 or an rx8 since those fill niches not yet in the game (80s and mid 2000s sports cars) and are under appreciated cars.
That's a radial engine, commonly called a rotary in aircrafts. This is a Wankel, called a rotary in cars.
Yep, it would be so, so great!!! --- Post updated --- Nobody outside Australia knows about it. I didn't until you mentioned it, so what does that tell you? And even in Australia, everyone back then was focusing too much on the Turbo Commodore to be drawing attention to it.
