Update Speculation thread

I think the only thing that's new in that ad is the licence plate

 

I would like to see a maintenance shop, where I could test each and every part that I've changed in the "Vehicle Config" menu.
A kind of test stand for; e.g. suspension test against a changeable road profile, power generation chart for tweaking engine, durability, temperature etc...

 

And the license plate is probably some quick internal thingie for an ad and not an actual new license plate.

 

Gridmap and some UI apps could work.

Eh, IDK. The sky might be the same, but look at the dirt path. Looks like PBR to me. I’m going to try to recreate the picture in current beam.

That DEFINITLEY is PBR. Also, no tower on top of the mountain, so it might be more than just PBR, maybe a full on remaster. (Ultra graphics BTW)

 

If you look on google earth, the land is way bigger than in-game and, there is more towns, homes, some race tracks, etc

 

Which is a bit of a shame, it could be part of the official content for those who want to add a bit of extra VR into their gaming and the standard VR ("VIRTUAL REALITY - IT'S UNREAL") plate isn't enough for them. It would also be a nice match with the white/orange colours and the BeamNG livery of the combo of the Gavril T-Series and Dry Van Trailer!

What I said about this number plate is also true about the internal state of the showroom being used to showcase the remastered cars. It should be part of the official content as well.

Italy map is definitely missing a race track/Autodromo! It's already massive of a map, so it can get some more variety in destination!

What tower are you talking about? I see no tower in neither of the pics!

 

The tower at the top of portino peak. Only just now realized you can't see it in the pic. My bad. Thought that it was in there.

that racetrack mounted on top of a building that i think FIAT or Ferrari had in the 40s-50s


just googled it, it's the lingotto factory racetrack and fiat had it

 

That would be really cool but the map also has beautiful countryside areas. How about putting both elements? An oval on top of the Autobello factory (with ramps inside it for getting up and down the building) and a racetrack in the Italian countryside!

It's alright, mistakes can happen!
Besides, I think I know the tower: you're talking about this one, right? Tbh, it looks like a telephony tower, so it is important for the residents of the Portino. I don't think it's getting out, I believe they're gonna do the PBR treatment on it too.

If I really were to care you could probably find these icons labeled as a generic UI pack.

 

Ok, so most of it won’t be used, but why do they have it in the first place?


EDIT: I’m not so sure anymore. Why would a random pack of icons the devs bought happen to have a beamng logo icon? (Near to top left)

EDIT AGAIN: And why would it have icons for the bolide and pigeon?

 

It's a gallery of ALL the icons in the game, the BeamNG specific ones and some others were added by the devs

but yeah I have to agree, not everything is probably made for BeamNG
I can definitely see the dealership icon being used, especially with the addition of actually revamping dealerships on maps not to long ago if I'm not wrong
maybe they can just some icons as well like money icons for example in the future, but a good chunk of these other ones are probably not making it in

Possibly in case somehow in the future they need icons for whatever, it could also just come with Torque3D, and for the BeamNG icons they could just be made by the devs.
