I imagine it as an aftermarket swap option, rather than a factory option, hence the reason I said swappable. --- Post updated ---
I see. What I wanna see is a config called "Every teenager boys bastion" Loud obnoxious v6, Dark tints, stupid looking rims.
We would need a custom exhaust to do that though, with a fartcan tip and everything. If we don't go that route we need a custom modeled rear muffler setup but with straight pipes and no mufflers. But basically what you're looking for is the Street Tuned without the widebody or the turbos.
Personally I really want to see some stuff like factory test beds, concept car unicorns, etc... And MOPAR did actually put a V10 in a LD Charger for SEMA 2012.
That's... That is exactly what I said... Chrysler's parts division put a V10 in an LD Charger for SEMA. I would love to see stuff like engineering test beds/concept cars/etc... as ultra-rare unicorns in game. It would be a really cool way to get some quirky content in game and can be intertwined with gameplay features such as collectibles/rewards/barnfinds.
Just imagine the excitement of the average player when they explore the mineshafts of Utah and find a BeamNG version of the Prangler Barnfinds are pretty standard in open world car games nowadays and as far as I can tell are generally well received. If the player doesn't want to play along then it's always a quick google search away. This would be a great way to get weird content in game, whether it be weird parts like swivel frames or lore content like Pete Burnside JR's stock car, or some of the more out-there configs like the FATT. If the devs didn't want to do barnfind/collectibles then there still needs to be some rewards in game, and unique vehicles would be a lot cooler than something like credits or an otherwise easily obtainable car. --- Post updated --- Then go into freeroam. I don't see any reason that your career mode progress would be tied to things outside of career mode. You could apply this to every progression aspect in career mode, not just barnfind cars.
There already is such a version for the Bastion: it's the Street Tuned variant, with the V6 with the loud exhaust and the Twin-Turbos, the 22in silver UTR Voltaires, the widebody and the Super Blue paint.
Ooops, I accidentally quoted a different post, I wanted to answer to you. But ok. This doesn't seem very childish without these parts. Based on my childhood experiences, widebodies and turbos are the most basic prerequisites for a dream build of a child, I'd say!
the Japanese pickup would have to be similar to the Datsun 620 or 720 pickup (small ute-sized pickup from 1970s-1980s) or any of the similar models like the Hilux or Mazda B-series (not the Ranger based one) of the era. The Subaru B.R.A.T. should also be counted for consideration as well.
