I believe that a 5-door Covet will be included, but not in the traditional Hatchback style of the 3-door. More like the slightly taller 5-door Shuttle, for better differentiating the roles of the 3-door and the 5-door. AWD will also expand the clientele of the Shuttle, by making for an AWD and All-Weather variant, and this drivetrain can also be fitted to all Covets with IRS (meaning that, apart from the mid-engined 3-door Hatchback Covet, which I hope is AWD, we can make a front-engined AWD 3-door Hatchback Covet too)! The Glassback Coupe Covet (aka CR-X) would be a great addition too because the niche of the small, light and cheap FWD Coupe is still open in the BeamNG lore. The Sedan Covet would be very practical but I doubt it will indeed be added.
Giant radiator that takes up the whole engine bay, and giant engine that takes the space of the rear seats and the cargo area? That would be cool
I think there’s still reasonable chance at the sedan Covet since the civic has one irl. CRX style body is also very likely. ‘87 sedan: ‘88 sedan Also I do believe the teaser shown could be a facelift after the current generation, since the 1988 Civic got rounder from the ‘87 1988: 1987:
came back here for the first time in a while to see the aftermath of someone posting tdevs linkedin pfp, for some reason. i love this website.
yeah i noticed this, i think the posters where put there delibarately so people wouldnt notice the rest of the board it clearly worked since your the only other person who has seemed to notice aside from me...
It was one of the first things i noticed, but whatever things are blurred could mean a wealth of things, so I didn't think much of it.
We’re so hyped about the Covet, now watch another month and a half go by with no teasers and no updates
Patience is a virtue! --- Post updated --- Plus even the '88 Pessima is larger, at 4.5m of length, so there may be a chance for a Sedan Covet as well. It's a bit difficult deciding the styling details of the Glassback Coupe, so let's just wait and see!
Yes, there's a big chance the hood vent functions as a heat extractor for the HP/UHP Radiators of the mid-engined Covet, just like the GTT Radiator Duct of the Civetta Bolide 320 GTT and 320 GTR does. Not to mention that it doubles as an aerodynamic aid, keeping the front end glued to the ground.
I noticed but after chaos with linkedin and devs replaying here I didn't feel confident to write about it. I preferred others to enjoy the postcards
Quick question: Do you think the update will come out before or at easter or do you think later? Because it is already almost finished, the Covet is already in the game (so the developers have made the image in the game) and in addition, the last #TeaserThuesday was a traffic light symbol with it which means as much as: Won't be long now.
Unless the update comes today I doubt we'll see it before easter considering that's in 2 days and (I'm pretty sure) the devs don't work over weekends
