whats 32bit? --- Post updated --- if we zoom in into the 32bit is deprecated thing, we can see the H-series, and is that a RV Upfit??
It's the architecture of the pc, wikipedia would explain it better than me but if your pc is a little bit modern it runs on 64 bit.
in laymans terms, 32 bit operating systems can only handle so much data, while 64 bit can handle far more and be more powerful. discontinuing the version designed for less-powerful operating systems means they can focus development on the singular 64-bit version, so they can work more efficiently and not have to worry about developing two different versions of the game edit: this is also a good sign because it could likely mean there are performance improvements in the pipeline that they want to focus on to help the game run better, which would be much appreciated
Alright now I understand what's 32bit, thanks --- Post updated --- oooh yeah, the lighting of the tunnel made it so that it looked like a rv upfit was on it, lol
I believe that it has to do with the Windows 10 32-bit software. I could be wrong though. Nope, it's the Rollback Car Hauler Upfit. It just looks like an RV Upfit in the picture because the car happens to be aligned with the shadows caused by the lighting in the tunnel entrance of the opposite direction.
In short, if you're running a 32bit operating system then the version of BeamNG you're running will no longer be updated The deprecation of 32 bit support leads me to believe there are probably some big changes coming for Beam in terms of the engine and such. Also probably means we're not far off the update release now, exciting stuff
Exactly.... oh god i can already see the 10 year olds on the Facebook group posting "WhY tHe GaMe No UpDaTe? pLz HeLpPp"
I dont want to be that guy but usally the teasers are on tuesday, today is monday. And normally there is always one teaser at least one day before the update. I think we are actually close to the update considering the extra information on steam about the deprecation of 32 bit.
It's just a technical information for those few players who are still running a 32-bit OS. Nothing more, nothing less. But yeah, judging by the fact of solely focusing on the 64-bit OS and the ease of development of the game engine this focus brings, there's a considerable possibility that we're nearing the 0.25 Update.
