True that, there are many sound effects based on one specific engine sound that have to be recorded. Engine sound, exhaust sound, exhaust sound with only the headers on (now that I think of it, only the engine sound without any headers at all isn't recorded and that's solely because the headers aren't detachable - yet - despite them being depicted as separate parts in the Parts Selector), interior sound and multiply these parameters by the various phases of operation (start-up, shut-down, idle, rev limiter etc.) and the cam lobing phases that the new engine sounds United wrote about in Christmas (and we thank him a lot for that) are now bringing into consideration. It's just that I'm seeing this from the enthusiast's point of view, so thank you for this piece of info, it is undoubtedly extremely important. Plus, apart from the "no headers at all" sound, there's also the Cold Start sound which hasn't been implemented yet. We already have the malfunctioning sound effects of overheating, now it's time for the cold start ones - and they're gonna be very dramatic with the exhaust flaps fully open or even without any exhaust lying around! And here's another one: adaptive exhaust flaps, opening/closing above/below a certain RPM threshold (and the opening/closing is accompanied by the classic metallic sound effect of the butterfly valves opening and closing) - @3:23! As for Tanco, you're probably referring to his 4.4 V8 engine mod for the modern ETKs. Yeah, that sound is amazing with the mufflers on, it almost sounds like a new BeamNG kind of V8 - kinda BMW N63 on idle, kinda Audi B7/B8 RS4 4.2 V8 on the rev limiter, it sounds marvelous!
Still only seeing automated 24-hour builds on SteamDB - either there's a new build system (plausible as there was some mention of this in the recent past) or work hasn't even started on 0.25 beyond planning and concept art
Work has started since 0.24 rolled out... on SteamDB our only indicator might be when they update the creator branch (which as per the last time had an 1 month window for testing and recordings for the creators before the full update rolled out)
Development continues almost immediately after each update is released, after usually a few days to a few weeks have passed of hot fixes. Also, for what its worth, SteamDB is not the most reliable source.
I noticed that too. Don't think an update will come today since it's 7:30pm in Germany. But honestly, I won't be surprised if we get it tomorrow
Nah. No holiday's in Germany right now. Don't see how a holiday in England could affect anything...not even sure if any devs are in England.
Thanks for the clarification! --- Post updated --- I still think that the update could release this week, all depends on if we get a teaser tomorrow.
This week may be a bit too soon, but yeah, if we see a teaser tomorrow, this is gonna mean we're closer to release.
