I'd like to reiterate that it is extremely unlikely that we'll see the new Civetta in 0.25. The first we saw of it was a concept design drawing in mid-January. It is known that the devs take longer than 6 months which represents the current major update cycle and this one will most likely take especially long as it is going to be the most complicated vehicle that they have ever added to the game, as a modern supercar is about as advanced as car design gets and takes an immense amount of tuning to get right. It is far more likely that the new Civetta will appear in 0.26.
No it wouldn’t as we’re most likely getting a full Covet remaster as well as most likely modifications to a lot of other big things, just not the new Civetta.
We haven't even seen the new Civetta as a 3D model yet, let alone in game. So either 0.25 is really far off or the Civetta isn't coming this update (and I find the latter more likely)
I doubt the the civetta isn't coming next update. Releasing the teaser for the cherries early was controversial at the time, why would they do it again?
I wasn't following Beam really then, so thanks for informing me. In which case we're probably getting hyped up too early, but then why would they be teasing the Covet remaster so early? Maybe next Tuesday we'll see the Civetta then. Remind me, how long has it been since we first saw the Civetta?
I'm wondering if they are going to wait until they finish the Civetta so there isn't that dual update thing like last time. Or we might just get that way later. --- Post updated --- Some were also unhappy about the dual update with the Bolide then the Bastion a little later, so that makes sense.
hold on. dennis mateja is ninetynine...does anyone think that an official twincharged covet could be in the making?
If this was twincharged then it would have a badge that says it. Although it has such wide wheels that it definitely has a ton of power so maybe there's a supercharger there, idk
Personally i think it looks like the graphics are different and IMO it might be evidence that theyre finally implementing, among other things, the new tonemap, which is less dull, more filmic. Definitely looking forward to the update now!! I hope theyre also implementing the autoexposure and working bloom again but i dont want to be needy lol
True that, the first teaser for the Cherrier FCVs was out on December 21st 2019, with the full article presenting the final state of the cars and the modern electronic Stability/Traction systems published on February 11th 2020 (IIRC) and the 0.19 Update dropping on April 8th 2020, less than 4 months after the first teaser. --- Post updated --- Three and a half months. January 18th was the first teaser for the new Civetta.
its just a thing updates like 0.25, 0.5, etc are called by some people its just symbolic since its like 'one quarter' update
So, what I notice in the teaser -new MR engined turbocharged covet with a widebody (obv) -euro spec taillights -new wheels -seemingly updated graphics I feel the update coming soon, with the new civvetta (most likely a different nameplate than the bolide) included in it.
It could also be that the new Civetta was more advandced at the time we got the drawings. I don´t necessarily see why, what we see in teasers is how far they are in the developing stages. I remember hearing a dev say the teasers are usually ready and scheduled to be posted (which is also why it´s weird for me that we have so few)
I'm thinking that potentially the Civetta is holding back development a little because perhaps it needs certain game engine features before being worked on further (aero and grip related maybe, who knows)
I would be fine if 0.25 released with just the Covet remaster, it's needed one since it first came out anyway
Did anyone notice the side blinker in the new teaser? It's amazing that we will have an Euro-spec hatchback from the mid-80s/early 90s, since we all love these cars.
