https://beamng.tech/blog/beamng-sponsor-zero-prototype-summit/ Was looking on the .tech website and found this. I don't really know what to speculate from this but let's see.
Before anyone says that's the new car in the image, I compared them a while back when I first stumbled across it myself, and they're very different.
Believe or not,I drew it by myself about two months ago. This is what the new super car is like in my mind.
You are correct, they are different. There also seems to be a lot of resemblence too. NOT saying that they are meant to be the same car, but I wonder if as a showing of appreciation to get to be involved in this event, wanting to mark the event, or as taking inspiration from the event; maybe that is why they are making this particular new car. Maybe it's made directly for the event, as they said, "...BeamNG is a proud Silver sponsor of the 2022 ZERO PROTOTYPES Summit..." Which makes me wonder if the car will be released just before, at, or just after the event. I'm excited to see it though, since "The summit will also be broadcast live, free of charge, allowing automotive and transportation community to benefit from the conference’s content. This content will also be available on-demand after the event."
Considering that MR Turbo is euro spec, I wonder if we will get euro spec base model Covet with smaller engine.
If I recall the last time something similar to this happened around the release of the D-series prerunner, and that the event didn't coincide with the release of the update, but I dont know it might mean something
It certainly will get EUDM versions. I mean, it's a Supermini with engines equal to or smaller than 2 liters (1.5 SOHC, 1.5 DOHC, 1.8 SOHC, 2.0 DOHC and all of them are Inline-4s), so it already fits greatly into the needs of the European market.
Why does the European market settle for such wimpy engines? I've heard Europeans call a 10 second 0-60 time "fast" and 1.8 liters "big"
kind of off topic but: When we drive slow cars fast, it feels fun but when we drive fast cars fast, it feels boring.
big true the most exciting moment ive ever had driving was chasing a bmw i8 along a tiny as fuck country lane in my panda i was just about keeping up but it felt so much fun being on the edge
The most exciting moment I've ever had was hitting 100+ MPH in a creaky Subaru Legacy to pass a truck
