Or maybe just no creator program for this update because it would only slow down the development and they don't need feedback this time?
Judging by the announcement that 32-bit systems aren't supported anymore, I think the devs spent a very long time trying to optimise some new feature or update for those systems, only to realize it was impossible and give up. It happens and hopefully that means an easier time for the devs in the future.
there's so much more in updates than a car my point is just that it could be many things, either a set back or they are making something bigger behind the scenes.
To add-on to that, content creators can wait just like the rest of us imo lol. I do not see any reason for a creator branch, other than outside testing sources. Plus, didn't they do something last update to help with the bug finding/fixing process to lower the number of hotfixes and or, patches? If it's just for YouTubers to prepare videos, well, they can wait like the rest of us.
Probably not. It’s the removal of another client. If you use 64-bit mode like a sane human, the only thing you would notice is the reduced file sizes
Youtubers also give feedback tho, like Ermin Hamidovic that gives great insights on force feedback and driveability of the cars, also bugs and other stuff, this is why a selected few Youtubers get access to that branch, some for the driveability, some for the atention to detail, and so on, they are a powerful tool for the devs, because when you work on something yourself, there are always something you didn't think about that end users end up doing and kinda break what you done.
Calm down the Law of Jante... The point of the content creator program is not to find bugs. It just gives creators a chance to create an update showcase, without having to stress about having it done and uploaded as soon as possible. It will improve the quality which is a win for both a creator and for BeamNG to have their product showcased properly. This is not limited to BeamNG, all kind of brands often publish to e.g. youtubers/reviewers first to help create publicity. Furthermore, the creator program gives creators ability to make giveaways with keys provided by BeamNG and they also offer some sort of sponsorship. TL;DR it's not a bug testers program. --- Post updated --- That + time and resources can be spend on other things, than keeping a 32 bit alive..
Adding on to this, allowing content creators to upload videos the day of the updates release is actually a great way to generate publicity, i.e. revenue for the developers! Giving creators more time to develop their articles and videos ensures that the information they present is more in depth and truthful than otherwise possible, and allows content creators with strict upload schedules to cover a topic they otherwise might not have time for. This is more common with product launches rather than updates (Especially in the tech community! Think graphics card & cpu launches), but its still a great idea for updates as well.
This. The UI should be a prioirty by now. The game evolved to a point it no longer looks/feel like an indie game. It's just the laggy UI that makes the experience really bad. I would pay again for the game if needed lol
It would be cool if the reason why the update is taking so long is because they are working really hard to finally fix the UI and when it comes out it will be super fast and smooth
Personally i dont crave UI updates, IMO theres still other areas needing improvement/changes/additions but i guess thats, as stated, a personal preference.
Wait just let me dream. Imagine if somewhere in the world someone is creating a sort of content manager (for assetto corsa) for beamng
i do love the content manager for AC, as the normal launcher is annoying af, takes long to load and then it has some sht you cant skip fast when closing it, literally closing it with task manager is faster than ALT+F4, but content manager is fast, great, and has everything you need and a lot more. But i very much like the BeamNG launcher and ui, but i do have a few problems with it asides the lag on it, mainly i would like to get rid of the controls bar at the bottom as it is useless for me and it does get a bit in the way sometimes and when tuning vehicles it would be nice to have the apply and reset instead in the bottom so i would not have to always scroll down to apply if a car has a lot of parts, it was like this in 0.23 and it was the first annoyance on the ui remaster i noticed.
It sure isn't perfect but i don't think something such as content manager would work with beamng, especially since there will be alot more to it than freeroam.
I Actually hope it isn't tho, Only Covet announced as of now, no other remaster (car or map) teased, new car is teased only in drawings (super early stages), More than a whole month without teasers before the MR Turbo one, If an update takes 6 months and only has 1 vehicle remaster and not any other stuff (other than 32-bit deprication and stability for the AMD GPUs), would be a weak update, even more considering the past teasers for the future the devs gave, like the "Thing are heating up" or something like that that made us believe in the possibilty of tire temperature, the new car sketch made us think about some aero improvements, but other than the Covet and the sketch, the devs have been mostly silent. I Still think the content Creator Branch will get updated around 1 month before the full fledge release of the update, last time around it was updated 1 month before the public branch, and even got one update around 1 week earlier than the update to fix and test some stuff. So if my predictions are correct, we're far from the update, the Content Creator Branch might get updated this month, but I wouldn't expect anything before June for us, maybe we'll even get it as late as July.
