Potentials buyer of this game are mostly focused on soft-body physics and the awesome content, campaign mode and more scenarios are the last... I have played over 796 hours without campaign mod or history. if u want story mode, go to play Forza and let real mens play this masterpiece of real time physics. stfu
Sorry to be this Guy. BUT i did some REAL crap edits. And all i can say. is the new Scintilla ( love the name to ) Looks like a render ( its not ) SO i think this new update looks hot. as for the car itself. I don't know what engines it has. I think V8 is a given. Possibly a V10. I dont know if a V12 will fit? Also i will hope for a small V6 but With twin turbo. A supercharger. And possibly Hybrid. But the Hype train has set of. I think the update is now around the corner even if we still need to wait a few more weeks
I still wonder when they plan to go formally enter the beta phase, all modesty aside the game is way more than an alpha has any right to be. Also, when do you think they're gonna drop the early access on Steam? As soon as they deliver the full campaign? With the release of 1.0? Edit: TIL that apparently a beta usually starts when a piece of software is feature complete so eh
Something everybody has seemed to over look. That’s very much a fixed wing in the preview of the Scintilla, and we know there is an active wing planned. That presumably means we are looking at a high end track day trim like a GT3RS Porsche,McLaren LT, or Lamborghini SVJ. In the recent past they have shown the fastest trim of the car aswell, which in this case would be a little disappointing to not get a race car variant similar to GT3 or even a “cup” style car like Super Trofeo and Ferrari Challenge.
I was thinking last night that devs created art. Scintilla looks exactly as Bolide in version with wing and non pop-up headlights. In my mind styling of new Civetta is like Bolide but set in present time. This is just art how they set styling. I don't have to look on new Scintilla to see her shapes by looking on Bolide (i don't talking about Bolide shapes but overall look of car). Idk about back of car because i think there will be huge difference between Bolide and Scintilla but front is just majestic. I just wish that yxes ssa (read backward) from Bolide will also be yxes (read backward) on Scintilla
Personally, i prefer get some merch than DLC... at least, with merch, even when you go to work or to school you do some sort of publicity for the game. And if people want to contribute to the game devellopment and that they don't have enough money for the game itself they can participated too. And the grandma/grandpa that want to make a gift to their greatchildren they can buy a t-shirt or a mug wich is more simple for them to find on the Web than à DLC or even a steam giftcard. After, it's just my opinion and you are free to think by your way
Aren't the clients of BeamNG.tech (like Audi etc.) the ones bringing the principal income ? People occasionally buying the game sure couldn't pay the whole team for that long, more so now with the team being bigger than ever. And I really don't see any content being paid before at least 1.0 release
I agree. The fixed rear wing (plus the shark fins in front of the rear arches we see here) is usually put on the more hardcore version of a Supercar because the motorized wing weighs more due to the mechanism and the speed sensors needed to move it up and down. Among other things, I'm also really curious to see the motorized rear wing!
Rather than paywalling core game elements like new cars and maps, they should explore other options of raising additional capital. I would be more than happy in spending tens of my dollars on official BeamNG merch or on a "Supporter Edition" on Steam that gives buyers things like hi-res design sketches for released cars and maps and lossless files of the synthwave tracks that play in the Lightrunner mode. Maybe even premade STL files of all the vehicles so people can 3D print their own models.
About the 3D printing, they can also offer the colours the cars are available in, so anyone can choose the colour they like the most to "paint" the car!
Dont ignore that BeamNG already sold more that 1 million copies of BeamNG.Drive and I would'nt be surprised if they were really close to the 2 million milestone. Let's say they sold 1.5 million copies that gives them 15€ (due to steam taxes for example), it makes already 22,5M€ of raw income since 2012, obvisouly it must be over estimated and there's a shit ton of taxes that takes a huge part of the money but still, BeamNG.Drive isn't ridiculous when talking about money.
Is there a shadow on the glass? The glass shader sytem will be definitively way better for sure! (no more visible glass&taillights though sand dust and fog, I hope ^^)
