Timeline speculation: We can probably safely consider this the 'big reveal' teaser that tends to be the last one before release. 0.24.1's last teaser came on the 14th - update 1 week later. 0.24's was meanwhile just 2 days off - a tuesday for a thursday release. 0.23's was merely one day before a Wednesday update - though the image notably lacked the WIP tag. 0.22's was a bit longer - ringing in at six days. My money's on tomorrow or next tuesday.
depends what it is, if it's something like the previous one, it's pretty much just pose (which may involve obscuring extra stuff) and take a screenshot, then add the banner below. source: i have made fake teasers before
Even I liked it, which is saying something There were still some mods approved today, which makes me think there could still be a few days to a week until the update (unless the mod review team has gotten bigger!)
Dammit, i feel i need to upgrade my computer soon enough, 0.25 might be the one to finally require it
How have the presumed-to-be-included graphics improvements affected performance? (if you're willing to tell ) --- Post updated --- No PBR visible, and the textures are low res for the seats, so I'd say it's an old screenshot
Its mostly because i cant use much traffic and reflection update rate is slow. Also the ffb isnt really what it could be with 30-50fps but also Vulkan isnt even starting for me. Abit funny since ive made the AL gfx mod.. Got a i5 2500k, 8gb ram, 1050ti OC and a ssd for that. Its long time overdue for me but ive got a bunch of project cars IRL that tends to get alot of the economical attention..
I'd say go for a CPU upgrade first since Beam is very CPU-bound and your i5 is pretty old... it might even bottleneck the 1050 a bit
Yea thats what ill do, new mb, i9 12900k, 16-32gb ram and whatever gfx card that isnt a straight punch in my soul price wise. As you might understand im keeping my computers a long while so might aswell go big. Would only do it for BeamNG lol
i9 is overkill for pretty much everything; go for a decent i7, 16GB of RAM (you can always upgrade if it's not enough) a current midrange GPU and a cheap mainboard if you're not overclocking like crazy. Edit: if you're going for longevity then yeah, go for it lol
Yeah ive got the possibility to go overkill so might aswell push it alittle extra, im probably going to keep it another 10yrs, so until beamng 0.50 i guess
the teaser came out at 1:11 so if you add the 1, to the 11, its 12, so maybe the update will come out on sunday [12th] this is a joke btw 200th message yay
Are there any news on the timeline for fixing glass, front/rear lamps and dust/smoke? that it will be layered correctly?
