I don't bother with meshslapping crap, so... Apart from waiting to drive the Scintilla, I'm also waiting for its rear end to be unveiled because we have yet to see it, mind you. As of now, on both teaser pictures, the farthest back we've seen of the new car are the sides of the rear overhang and a bit of the design of both the active and fixed rear wings. I'm really pumped up!
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the Covet MR Turbo too, but ok, we know exactly what that is: a Subcompact Hatchback which went to the gym to have a widebody kit and its engine repositioned behind the front seats. We even know what it's gonna look like with the widebody kit! The surprise factor is quite down on power in this case.
is it wrong ti be hyped JUST for a Remasted Covet DX or DXI base model. With a 4 door ( or more so a sedan ) ? If so i dont want to be right
Wdym? Almost remaster so far has had some sort of variation of said remastered car that basically changes everything about it. Legran Wagon and 4-wheeled Pigeon for example.
I'm surpised QA Latest is being updated over the weekend, the devs must be quite eager to get their shiny new toy out into the hands of the public
i'm still surprised at the lack of speculation about any content outside the scintilla and the covet remaster. with the last update, which was shorter than this one, we got the bastion, the major bolide remaster, and the minor pessima and van remasters. sure, the scintilla will have taken more effort than most cars, but the majority of that will have been in the jbeam department; where phase 2 of the grand Marshall remaster would be 90% on the art team, as the jbeam rework was all done with the phase 1 remaster, so I see little reason to doubt that we're also going to see it, and probably another car also.
I'm not even sure the Covet remaster is coming in 0.25, the devs haven't really said anything at all about it since they teased it, although an update with only one new and fairly niche car and some technical updates would be kind of disappointing after this long so we'll just have to see.
We'll probably see one more dev image of the Covet before the release if they intend to add it in 0.25.x, that and/or maybe something else that they're tossing in to show more than just those 2 cars. Also since the only 4 images shown all seem to be 1 trim of the car (Mr Turbo). I feel a phase 1 remaster of another car might be underway and I'm thinking 1989 Pessima since that car is closely related to the Covet. Whether the Covet comes in 0.25.0 more so than 0.25.1 or vice versa I can't really say for sure. (honestly I don't think what I said makes much sense after all the editing)
they gave us two screenshots with very clearly revised headlight/taillight models/textures. I see aboslutely no reason why they would make the Mr Turbo for the existing covet in its current state.
This isn't a question of "is a full remaster planned," but of whether it's coming in 0.25. I think a lot of people would be disappointed if it didn't, because an update with just one car and no other new content after nearly 7 months is... kind of pants. On the other hand, they probably wouldn't release it without at least partially remastering the old Pessima, although that car needs significantly less work in my opinion, maybe even just a question of updating textures and drivetrain models.
