That would be nice too but the parts we saw in the related teaser a month ago are going more the "M Competition" way than the "Alpina" one. Not to mention that the Alpinas are even rarer than the M Competition models, so we're talking about an even thinner niche of vehicles.
I could see them sticking with the I-series nomenclature, by making a "Kc8 ttsport", and a "Kc8 ttSport Evolution", with the latter akin to the R230 SL Black edition.
That's very nice actually. The Kc8 ttSport can be the starting point, the Kc8 ttSport+ can be the AWD version and the Kc8 ttSport Evolution can be the extreme high-performance version, with more power and special goodies for a higher price. And this nomenclature can spread across the ETK lineup, for linking the ETK past (in which the I-Series ttSport Evolution belongs) with the present (modern ETKs) and the future, making a historic continuity and defining one of the roles of the ETK brand.
excpectashones: - rally qar covet. has a movin gearknob. people said they would like a civic shuttle also but seems unlikely. - k series gt3 stuff. maybe better texture also. - sunburse remaster?? i dont know.
Are there any plans for visual improvements regarding time/weather? Rain is very ugly (and barely even implemented), the sky and fog interact very weirdly, etc. There's some times of day where everything is *very* dark for no real reason (before sunset/sunrise, I think?) Would be sick to have a polish pass on those.
like in real life, the moon doesn't always rise right after the sunset. that's why it's so dark. although it is weird that it's happening all the time in the game.
Wishful thinking but I really hope they have a revision for weather in the Pipeline, i can't think how amazing the BeamNG would look on sunset with PBR and with proper polished weather
I would completely agree with a tire system (thermals and condition) and aero only update. No cars, no maps, no etc. Would help the game to bring more competitive people to this scene.
I definitely agree regarding the weather. If they're gonna get that done in the future, skyboxes deserve a look at too. --- Post updated --- I know bringing up this point is like beating a dead horse, but not everybody on the team specialises on working on systems like that. A lot of the team are environmental artists and car designers so there is no point getting an update out that just focuses on those aforementioned systems if the rest of the team just sits idly for the update and contribute nothing for its release
I'm sure it's not a priority because Beam is a car simulator, not an everything else simulator, but the weather in general looks so much worse than the rest of the game, especially after the PBR update.
i hope they will update the headlights in vanilla you cant see 7 meters in front of you with highbeams on and with that mod that changes the light patter its realistic and you have a better visibility also in terms of shadows we need an slider like the one for grass that would help Performance Immense
I just want customisable PostFX back, makes no sense that I can make the game look so nice in photo mode but nowhere can I change it in the actual game settings. Give us SSAO adjustment sliders already!
Ever since the photo mode filters came out I've been saying we need to be able to use them in normal play. I'm not sure if it got patched but there was a bug that allowed this; I loved playing with the vintage filter enabled
There was also a mod that allowed you to save your photo mode settings and use them in regular gameplay, I haven't been able to find it but I dont think it works anymore. EDIT: You can now use this mod from Car_Killer to achieve some of the same effects + more https://www.beamng.com/threads/ck-graphics-settings-mod-v2-0-for-beamng-0-25.87586/
My SSAO mod does that, its in the Mods and Skins subforum. Ive also got the Alternative Lighting mod which has a instruction vid for looks like this only using the game engine stuff BeamNg can look REALLY good now with PBR and the Renderer Components. Tdev did say that when Vulkan API works as intended theyll add/make use of gfx/postfx improvements. I understand why but also my latest mod doesnt effect the fps noticably, atleast not on mine, a max of 10fps drop.
The pictures you took look truly amazing. I really hope BeamNG gets to look like this when Vulcan API gets flawlessly implemented because, combined with the PBR updates and the Renderer Component improvements, the potential in the graphic presentation department is immense!
