Update Speculation thread

Do you guys expect surprises in 0.27?

 

Nothing significant, since most of the big stuff has already been said. I think they will focus on polishing up the game rather than adding content since BeamNG is now a decade old. The new map is probably quite far away, especially considering how long Italy took to make.

 

We'll see, i personally hope for some improvement on career mode (like a money system), maybe they'll finally implement tire thermals as tdev said, but honestly we need to wait for a couple of teasers before we start speculating

 

I think that a Fiat 127/VW Golf Mk1 mix could be a neat counterpart to the Covet.

 

I would like to speculate that, due to the removal of the GTz covet, that the GTz moniker will become much like the irl GT-R in its use on the miramar, and this update is preparing us for a newer (but not new) miramar in future updates

 

The Gtz covet still exists.?

Ah nevermind, i found it

 

I remember that Tdev said that dirt and scratch on cars will be implemented in a future update. I will try to find back this message

 

That and tyre thermals which have seemingly been pushed to 0.27 or potentially later. No word from any developers on it since tdev mentioned it so I guess we'll be left in the dark regarding it for a while

I don't know if someone already seen it but there is a new config for the miramar

 

It's not new, it's updated drift config

 

if the devs went back to a 3 month update cycle we could see 0.27 in time for Christmas, depending on what they have planned for the update.

 

I was playing earlier and I decided to take the 80s Pessima for a spin and it looks like it has new lights. The 90s Pessima had the same treatment as this before it was remastered(only the tail lights though). So this might be hinting at the next car that will be remastered.

wait, 4 cars?

 

I think the 200BX is gonna be soon from how dated it looks in the current update compared to the other cars (especially lights wise) or wether they’ll pick another car that’s in need of a tuneup

 

One thing I hope too see in the future is more tarmac rally cars, as well as wheels that can be equipped with tarmac tires. The Tarmac rally cars are amazing, and more of them would be great
