Honestly, i hope they would focus on proper vehicle remasters before they dish out new stuff. Hopper, Moonhawk, Sunburst and last but not least the halfway done GM comes to mind.
Yes exactly. How could i forget my precious post-war luxobarge! --- Post updated --- I hope that means they plan to finalize their halfhearted remaster long time ago. This vehicle is togehter with the Moonhawk by far the most outdated vehicle now. The overhaul didnt even touched the chassis probably it still has its rectangular rear wheel arch for example. Plus i would love to see a facelift based on nothing less than americas workhorse for the past 30 years. Really hope it goes its way soon.
I actually created a Thread about ideas for a Burnside Revamp, its https://www.beamng.com/threads/burnside-revamp.88153/
this might kill fps but wouldnt it be nice if all switches inside the car lit up when the headlights turn on? like what the gavril vertex does
legran remaster next lol --- Post updated --- and damn you quoted my post in the 0.26 thread and posted it here lol.
--- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- Also, i-series didn’t get new rear light textures, along with the 200bx.
No, go examine both the 200BX and the Grand Marshal really close. You will see the difference in quality clearly. It shows that the GM is one of the earliest vehicles.
nah, the GM's had its jbeam structure redone, the engine bay meshes have been completely redone, the body model's had some work done to it (including the meshes/textures of the lights). all the GM needs to be up to standard is minor model work on the interior, and new textures, and the chassis needs a remodel/texture. In comparison, the 200BX body is littered with shading errors, the body design is proportionally wonky compared to what it should be, none of the mechanical meshes have been redone, parts of the jbeam are kind of unstable, like the suspension, and it still lacks a substantial amount of content compared to what you'd expect of a typical vehicle now.
The GM has had one small remaster and one big remaster, meanwhile the 200BX has never been touched since it was released and has close to the least variants of any car in the game… I think it’s obvious which one needs more attention.
Cars that are more in dire need of a Remaster: 200BX (as stated by everyone, it's quite old as of now, the last update brought a little improvement in the interior but didn't fix anything at all with it) Sunburst (old interior, old engine bay and textures, issues with widebody UV as it gets on a little different color than the rest of the body) Moonhawk (don't even have to say anything, it's just old, and these old v8 engines from beamNG should at least have one more choppy version as they would have in that time) Old pessima (this one just lacks content, like, A LOT, doesn't even has a proper race exhaust or something like that and I thought it would at least get some parts from the new covet) Miramar (Lacks a lot of content as well) I-Series (it's just left behind by the other ETK's and I don't know why) Barstow (kind of the same issues as the Moonhawk, but on a lower degree) T-Series is outdated as well Would you guys agree or change this order a bit? (I know I didn't add the Burnside but I honestly don't even touch it for some reason, can't stand driving it) And the other ones I didn't add are because I think they are a lot more recent and aren't lacking as much
Can we just talk about the moonhawk supercharger model, the one without the blower? It looks like a literal chrome brick
Burnside drives really well and indeed should get the rework too since it has little content and looks quite outdated too. Other than that i agree but i strongly disaggree with everyone here regarding the GM. It sure as rain looks outdated even with the completely halfhearted "reworks" it got but if thats just my opinion be my guest.
The bus might also need an update, maybe not a full remaster because the Jbeam is good, but it needs a bit of work imo. How come all the side panels can fall off and yet the emergency roof hatches are not openable, almost nothing in the interior is animated, engine type is not stated in the name, interior lacks details, mirrors are set up to be regulated but you can only do it with nodegrabber, and there is no vanilla extended version despite the evidence that it did exist at some point (it's included in the UV map). Official articulated bus would also be super cool. And another thing it really needs is passenger weight simulation, best if it was adjustable.
Not looking to add any opinion into the mix, but in terms of sheer time, the Moonhawk (released Sept. 2013), the Sunburst and T-Series (both released Sept. 2014 in WIP state), and the 200BX (released April 2015) are the oldest largely untouched vehicles in the game.
