Most teaser are realeased before 7pm German time (39 minutes ago) only a few ones up to 10 mines later and only 1 in the last year has been released around 1.5 hrs later (8.30 pm German time)
Yeah, no teaser today, and if I remember correctly, some dev told there was something for this week, I really hope this trend of saying and not delivering dos not continue, as it isn't a usual BeamNG dev standard (a year or so ago the devs were way quieter and really just dropped of the teasers and disappeared with no set dates for the next one, heck, we had a whole month without teasers at some point) I think the devs are trying to be more active in the community over the backlash that were the 6 month update schedule and everything went dark for some time, and they said they'd bring back the 3 month update schedule and I don't think It's feasible with the amount of things they're working on at the same time and I understand not getting things done with the small time window they gave themselves for these promised things
i dont understand why people hate when the devs dont stick to the 3 month schedule if they need more time making their product polished and finished just let them. ill rather wait longer for more content and a finished product than a unfinished and little to no new content .
That's what I'm traying to say and maybe I've made it sound wrong, but I think the devs are being too harsh on themselves by trying to go back to the 3 month schedule, there's too much happening at once. I think it'd be okay if they go back to 6 month schedule if it means they bring a more polished final product
They every update is polished and big, with this thinking we could wait a 9-10 years like for GTA VI or 15 years for Fallout 5. Or you want 6 months period to get more cars ?
I'm not saying this for the cars, I think as of now BeamNG is very diverse in this topic already, there'll always have a niche to fulfill, but that's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about tire thermals that were promised for 0.26 and weren't delivered and they probably won't have time to polish it on this 3 month schedule, the revised aero the devs told me they'd look into and just vanished. The updates as of now are polished enough, but they still require hotfixes, hotfixes are what I think causes more problems for the devs pipeline than we think, because it may just push back another feature because they were correcting something else and you know how coding works, you fix one thing and another one breaks
I honestly have no problem with them reverting to the half year cycle but the amount of content has to show the time be worth it.
Exactly it’s not that important when the updates arrive but rather if the content is good. I would actually prefer a 3 month update schedule with less content than 6 months with more content to be honest
I rather wanna have the door opening feature for all vanilla cars as i have too much fun opening it then closing it with a little force via Nodegrabber to be honest with ya all! --- Post updated --- What i would like but that will not happen is they take another 6 month round and remaster just about all remaining vehicles to finally be done with it and have tons of additional vehicle content as many of them offering plenty of opportunities for other body styles.
yeah, just hope they'd pay a bit more attention or reserve some more time for bugtesting before releases.
Supposedly that was one of the reasons for the 6 month update schedule, to automate some of the bugtesting and reduce the amount of hotfixes needed for future updates --- Post updated --- Just hope they fix the issue were the car doesn´t brake at all (it´s rare but when on racing maps of some sort always happen, I think it´s linked with a quick change of surface of some sort because it usually happens when changing terrain like from the road to grass)
Diamondbacks said that he’s looking for a solution for that problem but it might still take some time. They are definitely working on it
I could survive an update without a new car or a remaster in favor of some QoL things, features other than cars or a big bug hunt.
Well you should line out that "some" because if there would be an update without any new content the amount of Qol fixes and such has to be huge or big otherwise i personally would be rather disappointed.
If they focused the update specifically on some major technical stuff, like a new thermals system, many people would still complain about how it didn't bring anything new (especially given that the latest updates were rather big when it comes to new cars). But combining the QoL fixes with the upcoming K-Series revamp, for example, would be enough to justify a larger update IMO. Content-hungry people would be somewhat satisfied, and under-the-hood updates would add to the overall experience.
Showing the new tire thermals on the upcoming Pick-Up Truck would also be great since the car is probably gonna have a great mass to move around, so the tires are gonna have a hard time during performance driving.
