SO i wonder if this new ute is a New ute. OR just a pre-runner new body on a D-series Frame. To save time they may of also made the NEW Ute on the OLD D-series frame BUT i don't think that will be the case. Seeing how since like 2005 ute are becoming luxury cars ( The US high trim utes ) I think this may fill the luxury car void ( some what ) I mean the facelifted 2000s D-series can be made to look very nice. However i wonder what work version we will get? Also should be super safe. talking of all that. i wonder if it will be a USA massive pick up Or a smaller japan size one like Toyota Hilux. Ford ranger. Mitsubishi triton ( how ever you spell it ) makes me wonder. ANYAWY OT Other then wanting a aussie car ( Moonhawk sedan and/or ute will do even if its LHD ) I will live a Chinese car from before 2010. When they looked terrible ( but in a cool way ) smashed like a Cardboard box. And was easy to fall to bits. Anyawy sorry for off topic with that. as for the ute. I guess next teaser will let us know. OR they may tease us with the ETK parts they teased with a while ago, Or the next remaster. time will tell.
I actually think it would be an even better fit with the ETK they teased, as it seems to be a heavily race oriented verion, almost an GT3 kind of look, as we know racing cars lean heavily on tire temperature
Modern trophy trucks, unlike the 90s (rather home-built looking) in-game Prerunner, share nothing, save maybe headlights or an engine block, with any street truck. If you're looking for specifics
- Sound additions and improvements - UI overhaul / optimizations - Openable doors, hoods, trunks on all official vehicles (as mentioned by someone else) - A fix for your backlights being perfectly visible through dust and smoke (I know there's no solution yet) - Career mode improvements and additions (this list also includes ideas not specific to career mode) - Maps (which we got one on the way) - General performance improvements (although I have to say I'm amazed at how well the game runs on my almost 10 year old system) - Parts-selector overhaul - Rain and general weather system - Scratches and dirt (planned and possibly already on their way) I'm sure I could come up with more non-car additions and improvements if I start brainstorming. A team can also skip an update and deliver something more substantial in the next.
Actually, I hope so! they need to finish revamping the documentation and forums section, ever since the main part got updated (still needs pbr)
Yeah, the documentation needs some updating, especially with the recent updates and remasterings of the vehicles. And the forums may be in need of some refreshing as far as aesthetics are concerned.
Get ready for an unpopular opinion: The game has far more important needs than some wiki updates or a forum overhaul which just works fine for everday use to the community but i think it is very unlikely anyway so who cares eh?
I would personally love a repository overhaul at the very least, even just the ability to have mod dependencies would be great (thinking of KLJP which has a dependency mod, would be great to do something there)
I was just joking about the forums but the truth is that they need a refresh too. Although someone (like you did, and you're absolutely right) could argue that the current style is highly intuitive because, well, it's been around for years and everyone entering the site forums for the first time learns to navigate through them in a matter of minutes.
