Hmm, I've been complaining about the new truck having the wrong wipers, but it seems the real Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer did too! By the way, there are a lot of Poles who thought it was a Żuk. I agree with them, we demand a Warsaw Pact clone or else someone will have to make it as a mod, and we also need a Chernobyl map for... reasons
I second this the interior of the I series along with hopper and Sunburst is pretty poor. Needs pbr at the least.
This cant be any more true. They look plain awful at and nobody can say anything against this fact at this point. They really need remasters soon
In my opinion it is 99% certain that it is a European vehicle, more precisely an older model of Mercedes Unimog. I do expect quite a lot of versatility (as it is versatile in the real world) with tons of variants and parts (not necessarily at the start) - military, fire truck, ambulance, RV, Dakar-esque, tented and maybe some kind of strange converted bus for hard-to-get-to places? Also, nobody mentioned the fact that it is our first official fire truck, and that it has potential for being used for career mode/scenarios for fire-fighting or rescue missions (maybe we will get dinghy trailer too ). Another thought of mine - before I mentioned that the new pickup truck could be hinting the location of the map (alongside other hits), and this teaser makes me think even more towards the ideas that we will get the map set in Australia, Middle East, Africa or South America. In my humble opinion, it is definitely not the coincidence that we are getting two off-road oriented vehicles in the row, and both of these vehicles represent well two different racing car categories that event, such as Dakar, has and is using - Cars and Truck categories (although, there can be lightweight vehicle category too, as there is a leaked Autobello off-road variant). I am extremely happy that they are now capable of adding more and more vehicles.
Since this has kinda turned into a remastered vehicle wishlist: OT: Since we're getting a firetruck version of the new truck, could we also get an ambulance, police, and maybe military versions of it as well? Would be cool if another vehicle had all of these 4 together, specially such an old one.
The Miramar atleast received improved interior. Cant say anything about the I-Series or the Hopper in that regard. The Sunburst i believe got a proper 3D grille at some point if im not mistaken but the other two are untouched if i recall correctly
The I-Series is way older than the Hopper though. Man, I remember when the Hopper came out.... I'm old
Me too. I feel like it was yesterday when i read the post about the Hopper being Ingame and driving well so far without UV and interior! Yes i totally agree with you. The I-Series needs the remaster the most.
Wouldn't say that. Along with the exterior of the Moonhawk, the interior received a major PBR update in the 0.25 and some further texture corrections in the 0.26.2. The wood textures especially are really nice looking, especially when combined with the red interior colour (which is my favorite of the three available ones).
I really like the fact that the Devs decided to preview the new truck by showing the fire truck version. This also opens the door for some fire truck versions of the Gavril T-Series (and even the D-Series and the new Pick-Up Truck, for quicker access to forests). A version with a large extendable/retractable/rotating ladder, for example, would be great. --- Post updated --- Yees, green and blue colours would go great with the wood too! In general, with the exceptions of the Gavril Bluebuck, the Burnside Special, the facelifted Gavril Roamer 5.5 XT and the Gavril Grand Marshal 5.5 Luxe models, exterior colour-matched interiors aren't really represented in the BeamNG lore!
I'm sure we'll see a fair number of versions of this truck, these sorts of vehicles always do. Standard utility box versions, maybe a passenger van, overland rig, Dakar racer and/or trial truck, hopefully a cab body to allow for a flat bed, a crane once we get winches, etc... The big question is probably if we'll get a 4x4 and how far they will go with accessories (hydraulic/pneumatic systems could allow for some weird stuff, and the Unimog of course has the power take off ontop of the usual systems) What I really hope we get is something inspired by the Fast 5 Mongo heist truck. Of course the movie truck was a custom build, but we could see the ChoroQ truck as a cab config with an exo cage, flatbed uplift, massive suspension travel, and a Gavril/Bruckell V8 swap. That would allow for some very silly fun and it wouldn't even be our first movie vehicle (assuming they go that way with lore... A heist vehicle in general would be great fun for career mode)
