Still, an already in-game vehicle would have done fine. Any of the offroad D-Series, H-series, or Roamers would've been fine. The inclusion of a real vehicle pic (though edited in extremely well) is just... weird to me. Has this ever been done in a Beam teezer before?
Kinda glad there isn't a new vehicle being teased yet, there's already too much I'm hyped for, I couldn't take it!
I've a sepulation about the fact that there is real picture of a vehicule on the teaser, that Leeloo said on discord that there is something related to the vehicule on the teaser too. Here it is, real brands are comming in a way or another in Beamng (with IRL vehicules, tyres, advertises, motor pieces, wheels,...
It's extremely misleading for lots of people that are now expecting this vehicle to make it to the game. I don't think it's quite right to photoshop a vehicle in a teaser to generate hype either. It would've been fine if it was literally any other vehicle from the game.
...welp. And I reckon the second ATV is a Photoshop of a real ATV, as well - probably a Polaris or something. (Map design is still very cool, and I still want it.) You know, there was someone on here a week or two (maybe three?) ago, who thought that because the devs were showcasing so many vehicles, some of them had to be Photoshopped. They accidentally predicted what would happen today.
Please, keep calm, we will'nt get another teaser with more stuff because we complain. Try to take the positive of this teaser (even if there is not as much as expected)
To set the crap aside, what is the feature (other than the map) that this is supposed to be teasing? or is it just the map?
Oh great, now they start deleting posts due to being off-topic. Ok... my original post wasn't off-topic at all but whatever. I was just saying that it's a bit strange to use a real photo as a placeholder in concept art, I mean it's ok if it's only for the internal design process but as a teaser released to the public... idk
I am very confused at this specific teaser.... But, let's put my conspiracy hat on for the moment... why would they use an exact image of an Arctic Cat Wildcat X? Leeloo said that it is "the part of the teaser" also... Maybe it could hint into the real-world brands collaborating with BeamNG developers to bring their vehicles to the game? It is a possibility in my eyes. Maybe the picture of this vehicle hints at the location? Anyways, it is very confusing, but it likely is done on purpose
Nah, we wouldn't punish the entire community like that because a few people got mad. A reminder to keep the discussion civil though, personal attacks towards each other will not go unpunished.
What an evening to be scrolling the forums . I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed as the teaser was quite misleading (yes, it WAS concept art, but I feel like we've grown used to seeing things in concept art that we then see in game. Flicking the switch on this all of a sudden caught most people here off guard.), and I would definitely like to see more physics related work in teasers instead as that appeases the people that enjoy the more technical aspects of the game (it is, after all, a game that prides itself on its unique and constantly evolving physics). With that said however, for the devs that may read this, don't let this be off-putting to showing us what you are working on for teaser tuesday/thursday! Regardless of what is being done over there, we'd like to see it! I feel like the hype on this one just boiled over a bit far and while thats not something that can be controlled very well I am certain you could have seen this bit of drama arising from a mile off. Could have probably been handled better. Still very much looking forward to 0.27, whenever it does come out, but I think more community outreach needs to be done on the forums. I understand that its a big ask, you're very busy people, but it would mean a lot to the community
Remember a few days ago some guy was saying he believes the teasers are just photoshopped and not really coming to the game, and everyone thought he was just being an idiot… He seems to have successfully predicted the future
Car brands rarely want to have their cars featured in games where they can (and will) be completely destroyed so unlikely
