Not even mad, just disapointed, as I said, the teaser ia a great artwork, but it got released at the wrong time, we usually don't see concept arte after we already saw the final product, this was a lack of expectation managment caused by a bad use of words.
not the best teaser but give Leelo a brake, we know she and the entire beam team is rather busy these days
Same, but I’m sure this could be done as a mod Shoot that was probably me, although to be clear I only said that about the one teaser with the buggy at the gas station, cause of the way the resolution looked on my phone screen i thought it was a drawing and in game screenshot blended. Still, leeloo herself replied to that post and said that they had never used photoshop on teasers, so i find it odd that they did on this one Edit: to be clear I’m not trying to accuse Leeloo of anything , just pointing out True that, bad for sales so I think the only way that might happen officially is with old brands that don’t exist anymore
It wasn't about the teaser, it was about the hype created unecessarely for a thing we already knew was coming, Leeloo has been doing an awesome job filling us with teasers, she does it at tuesdays, thursdays, out of nowhere, she knows how to create havoc and get the community hyped, but I think this one escaped from her control
Maybe what they are teasing is a new Dakar Rally-style gamemode where we must navigate turns and jumps thru a desert while a co-pilot tells us where to go. This could even be re-used on other maps to create realistic rally routes. Edit: Yeah, those things look identical to Side-By-Side cars from Dakar Rally:
That actually would be pretty cool, but I’d hope that the map would also be accessible in freeroam, and not only in that game mode like how the glow city can’t be used outside of light runners mode
CAN everyone please chill out, could we try to focus on the content of the teaser, rather than how bummed everyone is. I understand, we all got hyped up for a big teaser, maybe the plans changed and the big teaser they had planned could not be posted. I think the teaser is supposed to represent the massive size of the map, and the car is just there to show that there are a lot of fun bumps to go over.
Also, RIP glow city, gone but never forgotten (Bolide got it's glow skin removed after the remaster, so I think they are hoping we forget it hahahah)
Yeah, but Glow City is only used as a background for a glorified Track Builder showcase (sorry Light Runner lovers, but it's true). This seems like a fully detailed map with things like a highway and a gas station, so it wouldn't make sense for it to be locked behind a gamemode. And if it is, I bet a modder will allow is to freeroam in it on the very same day.
What? Only concept art? Come on, that's... cool, actually! We're probably getting the actual update soon anyway so if this is unsatisfactory to you for some reason, there's still no point getting mad about it. Sad to also see some of this game's top modders - even paid content creators - jumping on the hate bandwagon over minor pre-release marketing, I would expect them of all people to do better. I'm still on that "unpacked" branch, what is it?!?
Think about what you've wrote, think about how you would feel if you were constantly under pressure by a community to give out art, details and images on features and content under constant development, with the repercussion that you will face backlash by an ungrateful community of inpatient children if you were not to deliver, doesn't feel too good right?
Like Euro Truck and American Truck Simulator, it would be cool, but I think it's the AI, but there is a possibility.
There's a part of me that wishes they gave that game mode more attention. It didn't really fit in and wasn't so popular, but I feel like with a little more attention (maybe a new pre-made track every update, unique car configs, community challenges, etc...), it could've at least been kept alive. Having that kind of gamemode in a game with simulator physics was really unique and cool, but both it and procedurally generated tracks were basically immediately abandoned without being fully realized. Both had a lot of potential that never got explored.
