one interesting thing with this update i feel like hasnt been brushed on too much is the connections this update brings a map thats named and made after an actual real world place (unlike WC/ECUSA or italy where the maps are rough iterations) and a bus that's really similar to an actual real world vehicle (unlike a mixture of cars like how most dev cars are)
vs code is not bad. But we java developers have sold our soul to JetBrains. IntelliJ IDEA one love =)
That’s fair. In Germany we have 23:48. I was in pub and I’m pissed as promised. So at least 8 hours to go for the update. Where’s my pillow? Good night.
I know, I'm in the same time zone. Spoiler That was kinda the point of this meme. Spoiler And to be honest I'm fine with whenever it comes out as long as the devs are content with it. Even if that means late January. I feel like the chaos here is quite fun on it's own, albeit a little annoying.
Called it. You all thought "oMg gUyS uPdAte tOdAy 1o0 pErCenT" With zero evidance. I knew it wasn't coming
Yes, having a map be almost 1:1 with a real-world location is very surprising, but a nice surprise. We've already had quite a few vehicles that are very similar mechanically and stylistically to their IRL counterparts (200BX -> S13, Hopper -> TJ Wrangler, Wigeon -> Bond Bug, just to name a few). However, even those tend to have some differences that make them more "Beam-worthy" (the 200BX's a fastback, not a notchback or a hatchback like the S13; the Hopper's quite a bit smaller than the TJ; and the Wigeon's quite a bit wider, has a longer wheelbase, and uses a smaller engine than the Bond Bug). That could also be the case with the Bello Bus - it might be mechanically a Pinzgauer, and it's got quite a few design influences from that German Austrian off-roader, but it's likely going to be different dimensionally or use some different engines from the Pinz, like how the Wigeon uses an L3 in place of the Bond Bug's L4.
I mean to be fair I think they meant to release it today. They more than likely came across a bug last second that was big enough to set it back a day.
Tbh I’m wondering if it could be possible that the autobello bus wouldn’t have a Soviet rebadging since it made me think of Kamaz/ UAZ utilitary vehicles when i first saw it. Also, it would make sense since fiat which is kinda the brand from which autobello takes its roots from gave the Fiat 124 to USSR for production with improved suspension and the rest was history. So, maybe there is a soviet rebadge of that bus that could’ve been produced well into the 2000’s
