I do wish it was a DOHC V6, especially because that's what its power levels match, at least mostly. I feel it would be so much more realistic too.
GM moves down 2, Bubu down 1, Moonhawk down 1, 200BX down 1, ETK twins down 1, 88 Pessima up 2, T-series down 1, Bastion up 1. --- Post updated --- It needs some quality touchups, but it's pretty good. The K-series has the dimensions of a GT/SLS (a lot shorter wider than an SL), has very little tuning, no variable engine tuning, almost no customizition, and most things you should be able to remove are just akwardly stuck there. The 800-series is pretty good dimensions wise, but is uglier than the moonhawks engine bay, has very little tuning, no variable engine tuning, almost no customizition, trim nomeclature that doesn't line up with the K-series, and most things you should be able to remove are just akwardly stuck there. No lore, no aftermarket, no race configs, no engine swaps, no engine customization, nothing.
Yeah i see the sense in there with the modern ones but my main point is the quality of the I-Series. it just looks dated and could use some more parts like proper german 80s police cruiser or a Diesel variant since its real life counterparts all had it but otherwise you are right. The quality should be the main focus of its remaster in my mind.
All of that is true, but there are lots of vehicles that are in much worse need of a remaster than the I.
Something rather insignificant but that could change the look of the game are the pine trees. With each updates bringing graphical improvements, I can't see the current trees staying like this, looking dead from far away, and then violently clipping and changing color as you come close, only to be made of obvious photo textures that barely react to light.
Moonhawk should definitely be the first, as it has been in game the longest without receiving a remaster. The cockpit needs to be reworked too since it has baked shadow map, which looks too dark and funky after all the graphics updates.
Some spicy new update speculation here. Niels Heusinkveld (The guy who builds the great pedals and also did physics consulting for Automobilista) recently did a video about engine throttle simulation in different sims and also briefly discussed BeamNG @ 11:23. Then in the comments, @stenyak chimed in with more details and mentioned that they are now looking at making it even more realistic "I confirm we are currently revamping it after your video sparked internal discussion, so we'll hopefully ship a new generation of this code for a future update"
I think the teasers are supposed to start after the modding competition ends on the 22nd/23rd, and since the 24th is a Tuesday, we could see a teaser on that date.
Do you think that we will see a teaser on Tuesday? I hope so and I think that I will give us more information about the k series remaster/ facelift. The question is: will it be etk k specific or will there be sth for the 800 as well which is very likely imo
Doubt its a mod imagine a layer/post processing layer of the render in the game engine , that's the thing he's working on edit: could be material too
