Yeah, unless they want to make some bigger trailer which can have 2 platforms to drive cars on? Or they just want to hook up the lowering of the ramp to the hydraulic system.

Oh yes, maybe they are doing some test here but they will add a new trailer with the t-serie remaster.

Along with an eventual T-Series remaster, they could also update the dry van trailer

The past few updates have been dry IMO. Like we waited over four years for a new map, and we just got an offroad area. I kind of hoped there'd be someone like a new town/city type of thing.

Im okay with the map but they could have thrown in a little small town along the long road.
That would have totally done the job for me a i hope for more WCUSA expansions like the neat new alleyway that connects to the now enterable park!
I would just love to see the city more and more extended maybe even a little rural small town section!

I wonder if they are going to focus more on purpose-built vehicles like 0.27, or if that was just a one-off thing

Considering how popular the Stambecco has proven to be compared to the other vehicles, purpose-built vehicles might be only a very rare occurence. However, popularity hasn't been as much of a benchmark for future content as it perhaps could be - we still haven't gotten a minivan or modern pickup truck, despite those two being some of the most commonly requested categories.

With career mode being the main target that new vehicle and map development is built around, and with it remaining relatively unchanged since 0.26, I don't know if anyone outside the dev team can give a solid answer to this question right now. If career mode gets a significant update in 0.28 to perhaps include the Wydra, Dunekicker, Rockbasher, or Autobuggy in its missions, then that could mean that purpose-built vehicles will become more than just "haha, funny bathtub on wheels" or "whee, fun times in big speedy truck".

Here's my (hopefully accurate) count of as many scenarios as I found to be "new" from 0.27:

    Collection (JV):
    Rockbasher: 1
    Stambecco: 1
    D-Series: 2
    Hopper: 1
    Other Pre-0.27 Vehicles: 1 (Pigeon)

    Crawl (JV):
    Rockbasher: 1
    Autobuggy: 1
    Stambecco: 1
    D-Series: 1
    Hopper: 4

    Delivery (JV):
    Other Pre-0.27 Vehicles: 1 (Roamer)

    Hypermiling (JV):
    D-Series: 1

    Time Trials (JV):
    Rockbasher: 1
    Stambecco: 1
    D-Series: 1
Other Pre-0.27 Vehicles: 2 (Piccolina Baja, Scintilla)

    Other Scenarios:
    Rockbasher: 1
    Autobuggy: 1
    Stambecco: 1
    D-Series: 2
Other Pre-0.27 Vehicles: 14 (Sunburst (2), Roamer (2), Barstow, '88 Pessima (2), ETK800, Vivace, Bluebuck, LeGran, Moonhawk, Scintilla, Wendover)

    Totals:
    Rockbasher: 4
    Autobuggy: 2
    Wydra: 0
    Dunekicker: 1
    Stambecco: 4
    D-Series: 7
    Hopper: 5
    Other Pre-0.27 Vehicles: 18

    Total: 41 (7 non-street-legal, 34 street-legal)

The official Beam website said 31, but it seems like there were a few scenarios that were forgotten about in the changelog. Or I could've miscounted. Either way, it seems like the street cars definitely still are the way to go with a whopping ~85% of the new scenarios going to the street-legal vehicles. As far as I know, the Wydra is the only vehicle to not have any scenarios for it - even the cannon gets quite a few scenarios, and the Pigeon has had scenarios for it for years.

Which is really bizarre, as the Wydra can technically go almost anywhere around any map, opening lots of new opportunities for scenarios. River racing, stair climbs, forest explorations, and shore travels are just a few of the things I can think up of. Perhaps its slow speed and slightly funky handling makes it not a very good candidate for scenarios.

Dear, tell me one thing! Has anyone heard or knows?

What do you know about the developers' plans for: reworking shadows and anti-aliasing?

For me personally, this is much more important than new modes of transport and maps, is work going in this direction? Or is it even planned?

I also increasingly began to encounter shaking of auto parts, shadows, if earlier it was a frequent occurrence of map mods, then with the release of a new map it has become an integral part of the official content, this breaks the general immersion in the game, and no new cars will help as long as there is data Problems!

In an attempt to please the ever-screaming kids: we want a pickup, we want a bike) and then and so on. maybe it's worth doing the foundation of the game first? my eyes are puffy after an hour of playing because of all this ripples on the monitor, and this is in 4k ... at maximum settings.

I really want to know what is the problem? Is this a limitation of the game engine? or what?

Who knows what about the plans of developers in this regard? Or maybe they will give us an official answer? who else is interested in this?

Bro we got 4 vehicles last update, that's the last thing I'd call "dry".

We got the most massive update in history and people still call it bad just because the map is "empty" which is the whole point of it...

And is that map worth those 4 years of wait? I think we're allowed to feel a little disappointed, complain a little when modders atm decimate them in terms of map development.

Thankfully, with all the map remasters out of the way (as far as we know; Cliff and Automation have yet to be remastered), the map development team should be able to crank out new maps faster. We used to get a new map about once every year before all the map remasters (East Coast and Hirochi in 2014, JRI in 2015, Utah and ETK DEC in 2016, West Coast in 2017, and Automation and Italy in 2018); with how many more people are now on the dev team since that period, it's fairly likely we could see a new map this year.

That would depend upon how large the map is, though - our last few all-new maps have been quite large. West Coast and Automation are both 2x2s, Italy's a 4x4, and JV's technically a 3x3 (with a load of other area outside its detailed area). The devs seem to have abandoned smaller maps - ETK DEC was the last all-new map below 2x2, with Hirochi Raceway and Port being the only other maps outside of release to go below 2x2. In Gridmap's remaster, it was quadrupled in size. - and JRI's also about four times larger than DRI. EDIT: JRI and DRI are the same size.

The devs have also had a fair mix of general and specialized maps released, usually with the general map first - East Coast/Hirochi, Utah/ETK DEC, West Coast/Automation, and Italy/JV. There's not much of a pattern with the specialized maps (ETK DEC is a very different map to JV), but so far, the only exception to this pattern has been JRI. The general maps have also always been of even side length, while the general maps often lean odd (2/1.5, 2/1, 2/2, 4/3).

So, maybe we will be getting another 2x2 or 4x4 city map next. It would be very nice to have another city to drive around in - while Belasco and Norte are cool places, it does get a bit boring to have only two "big" cities in Beam officially. Hopefully, the next city map is actually a big city, instead of having a racetrack thrown in the middle and leaving the city about the same size as Small Island.

I really hope that it will be just a wide race track, and not just another city =)=)

Suspect it might be improved when the Vulkan renderer gets more mature.

why does everyone forget about gridmap V2?

Correction: both DRI and JRI are on 2x2km heightmaps (though JRI does use a bit more of it as land)

I really hope that we don’t have to wait another 4 years for a new map, even if it is as good as all of the recent ones. And I agree, a third city, especially with the focus on the city and not with tons of other stuff put into one map, would be awesome!

My guess is 1 month from now.
