if we're still going by update every 3 months, then the update would be around march, but since we haven't had any teasers lately, it might be delayed.
I looked at the dates of the first updates from the last few years: 0.9 - April 2017 0.12 - April 2018 0.16 - May 2019 0.19 - April 2020 0.22 - March 2021 0.25 - June 2022 All these updates were released after the December updates, and 0.27 came out in December, and if 0.27 doesn't last 7 months like 0.24, it should come out probably in April.
They've already done a west coast city, an east coast city, and a european city (Italy), maybe along with the ETK remaster they could do a remastered and hopefully expanded ETK center map? This could have a long stretch of Autobahn to drive on, expanded ETK complex, more side roads and a German town/ small city. They could do the ultimate easter egg and base it off of Bremen, and make the Beam headquarters into the map!
The west coast city is too tiny because it needed to fit the race track and the east coast city is just a small town, the towns in Italy are fine though
A guy on the beamcord has spotted these pipes for the flatbed trailer in his .dae, maybe the 0.28 is about the trucks ?
My guess will be around end April to late may. I obviously don’t know for sure. --- Post updated --- They should definitely consider doing a true modern suv. Not that crossover stuff from the Tograc which looks 3x as wide as it’s tall. Although the tograc is a great car!
We generally get spoilers more than one update before, I doubt they would have 0.28 as a truck-themed release without having teased anything yet.
I guess it's because Gridmap V2 isn't a "proper" map like Italy or JV. While it is nice, it doesn't have that same "immersion level" that the non-virtual maps have. You very clearly are inside a video game level in Gridmap. And thank you for the correction - I thought that DRI was a smol boi. Yeah, most likely early-mid April. Just to expand on this: 0.9: April 14 0.12: April 3 0.16: May 3 0.19: April 8 0.22: March 30 0.25: June 15 0.16 was delayed due to issues with Nvidia GPUs, AFAIK, and 0.25's delays were likely because the Scintilla was a very complex vehicle to develop. New vehicles have tended to come out on odd-numbered updates for the past four years: Piccolina in 0.15, Bluebuck in 0.17, FCV in 0.19, Wendover in 0.22, Wigeon in 0.23, Bastion in 0.24.1, Scintilla in 0.25, and the five off-roaders in 0.27. Remasters/major changes to previous vehicles tend to happen on even-numbered updates: eSBR and dimension changes in 0.16, Grand Marshal remaster in 0.17.1, D/H/Roamer remasters and major changes in 0.18, 0.19, 0.20, and 0.21, Roamer remaster in 0.20, LeGran remaster in 0.22, Pigeon remaster in 0.23, Pessima/H-Series remasters in 0.24, Bolide remaster in 0.24.1, and Covet remaster in 0.26. To fit this rough schedule, it would make sense for the K-Series remaster - something which has already been in the works for a long while - to come out in 0.28. Hopefully, the 800 Series also gets a remaster with it - we've had similar vehicles get remastered together or paired with a new vehicle before (D/H/Roamer, Pigeon/Wigeon, LeGran/Wendover), so I don't see why it wouldn't happen again. Especially since anything new on the K-Series (like engine models or dashboards) could be carried over to the 800 very easily. The 800 could end up like the Barstow, where it gets a new engine model and pack of tuning parts from a similar vehicle, but not much else. One thing which could lead 0.28 to be pushed back to May or even June is tire thermals. The devs have made noise about including those in 0.27 - which didn't happen due to time constraints - and with the K-Series getting what looks like a GTE-esque bodykit, the K-Series remaster could be paired with tire thermals to make a "racing-themed" update.
I think a new truck would come in the update as the T-Series was remastered as Soliad Wendover in 0.22 and Ibishu Wigeon in 0.23. Well, I think the new truck would be a modern European cabover, (because the T-Series is an old American front engine) if the T-Series remaster came in 0.28 along with ETK and had a new truck, I would guess it would be an ETK truck based on modern German trucks like Mercedes Benz Actros and Man TGS. And I think when Wentward is remastered maybe it will have a new bus, it could be a modern European coach bus (because Wentward is an old American city bus), or a modern American school bus (maybe because it's very popular, but maybe they can add that only as a variant of the H45)
Did you people forget that Leeloo said she makes the teaser release times as chaotic as possible to try and prevent hype? Last update we had a metric ton of teasers, maybe this time they're keeping them to a minimum to make us think the update is farther away (which seems to be working lol)
You're probably better off asking that in the 0.27 discussion thread, or in the Troubleshooting section. Ah, alright. Well, in any case, it's certainly a welcome addition to the K-Series's limited parts list. That could be the case - I've looked through the teasers for content for 0.9, 0.12, 0.16, 0.19, 0.22, and 0.25, and here's the first dates that I've found they show up after the release of the previous major update: -0.9: 3 Jan 2017, showing the D-Series Crew Cab -0.12: 15 Feb 2018 for the Wentward and 29 Jan 2018 for physics stuff -0.16: 16 Jan 2019, showing the eSBR -0.19: 15 Jan 2020, showing off the new AWD system -0.22: 8 Feb 2021 on the official site and 26 Jan 2021 on Twitter, showing that the Wendover was near completion -0.25: 18 Jan 2022 for the Scintilla and 2 Jan 2022 for new DSE logic Outside of the reveal for the Wentward, this has been possibly the longest we've gone into a year without any major teasers. Granted, it's not the longest we've gone without teasers before in the past six years - the Wentward teaser was almost three months after the release of 0.11 - but usually, we get teasers about a month after the holiday update drops. If we don't get a teaser today, I'd be a bit surprised.
The teaser release may be delayed due to problems that cannot be solved while preparing for the update.
