thats pretty incredible! especially that you did that in 2 hours, im a pretty good drawer but it would take me a whole day or more to do that, that good!
Its very obviously a 800 --- Post updated --- Thank you it's just practice, i have drawn a lot of cars
It’s hard to tell but to me it looks like the badge on the back of the saloon says 844, considering the 854 is currently the base model with a 2.0 litre 4 cyl, could an 844 possibly be a 3 cylinder variant?
To be fair, both BMW and Mercedes have coupes in matching segments. BMW- 3-Series Coupe/4-Series + Z3/4 Mercedes- C-Class Coupe + SLK
Agree, but still K-series is very similar to 800-series and is a coupe, so the idea is totally valid but is not reaally thaat needed
Where did you get three cyl from 844? Edit: here’s how I think the naming is “8” is the model such as 3 series The second letter is doors. Wagons are 5 doors, sedans are 4 doors. Last number is cylinders. By this logic, and 844 is a 4 cyl sedan
The typical consensus on the 800-Series naming scheme is: 8=Vehicle Series 5=Door Count 4=Number of Cylinders That leaves 844 to be a 4 Cylinder 800-Series Sedan.
That teaser was from July 12, 2022, so those models were most likely to have been modified off the original for short-term teasers to show what the 0.28 update would be, and we never saw them on a car, but we haven't heard anything about those bumpers and aero bits since they were teased 8 months ago Since that teaser was posted so long ago, they could have completely changed the design of these bits into the ones we see currently IF, and IF, they are both the 800, the orange car would MAYBE be a coupe, would be really nice IF the orange car is a coupe AND it is an 800 series, it would make some sense for them to combine models, but it would be really weird
I hoped that the design of the lights had been improved clearly in the remaster of the 800 series. But at the moment it would seem that those will remain unchanged. Especially the taillights. Currently, they don't really have any line flow, instead they have a rather confused shape in every direction with weird inward curves. I made a picture to illustrate a bit what I mean: A = Also strange sharp corner of the bumper is caused by the shape of the taillight. The seam of the rear bumper could also be more linear, like for example in the 3 series, but actually that doesn't really bother me.
The current modern ETK nomenclature puts an 844 as a sedan 4 cylinder. Middle digit is the number of doors and final digit is the number of cylinders.
I do believe that an 800-Series coupe is absolutely possible, as IRL we have C-Class and 3-Series coupes (Now the 4-Series since 2013) Those and the Z3/4 + SLK match the 800-Series and the K-Series lineups.
The current base model is the 854, which is powered by a 4 cylinder engine. 844 could possibly be a less powerful 4-cylinder, or since it is a smaller number than 854 it could mean smaller engine (Also the BMW F30 has a 3-cylinder option) But it would make more sense for a 3-cyl variant to be badged an 853, so it could mean they have changed the model names. Edit: Ah I understand the middle number is the number of doors now, thanks for letting me know
More of a shitpost than actual speculation, but it would be really cool if this update came on bday this Sunday, but no major updates were released on the weekends
Okay guys i normally don't really write in these forums and only watch but since some people starting assumptions again about the 800/k-series size class again i have to say it is stated very clearly in game as a mid size car and no in europe where the developer are located a mid size is a 3-series for example not a 5-series (its also too small to be one) a american mid size would be an executive car in europe not mid size and for those that don't see it its quite clearly based off a Bmw f30/f31 since its also first produced since 2013. The k-series is too small to be a mercedes sl size wise and since its on the mid size platform of the 800 it would not make sense for it to be such a high priced luxury car but it could very well have a v8 in it a v12 would make size and class wise no sense for it but i would welcome it the devs sometimes like to go over the top
