yeah, that might be, my additional guess: selectable rear ramp for trailer we already have, its not a new one
Wrong style of doors. There would be one door with the hinges at the bottom if that were the case. The trailers should all be the same width, none significantly wider than any other.
The top is slanted at the right angle to lay on the ground, and it's clearly 1 door. Although there are no visible hinges, I'm going with @Acrain7's idea of a car trailer.
so i decided to take a look at the tow truck and i found something. it uses the single cab on the extended cab frame.
Presumably there's more to this ramp than meets the eye - unless it folds or otherwise extends, the angle of the ramp won't allow for loading vehicles with low clearance or large overhangs. Hopefully this thing leads to a scenario where you have to park inside the truck while it's still moving, Hasselhoff style! Although I am quite curious as to what happens when you try this with a front-wheel drive car.
Man, I would definitely love a tow truck and a car-carrying box trailer. *Tow truck pulls Hirochi Sunburst away* Man: No, no, no, no!!!! *Police escape* Driver: I need you to hide me and carry me way. Trucker: Sure thing, bud! *Carrier opens and Barstow drives in*
I was about to mention Knight Rider but you beat me to it, lol. @topic: I still wonder if CVTs and auto boxes will get adaptive logic, but that's something only a dev or a update can confirm, me thinks.
I've played around with different cars (including FWD) using the ramps on some of the mod trailers. Mostly your revs will want to drop earlier as your wheels try to match your inertia at the different surface speed, so it's a bit more noticeably useful to be in a lower gear (high revs) if possible to avoid bogging down on the ramp. Alternatively you can coast up the ramp initially on the clutch and shift into a low gear after your drive wheels are safely on the ramp.
now the main question about the ramp-trailer is, how will we get a pigeon up it? will it have a third ramp in the middle?
