Okay then, if they don't add a minivan, what would you rather them add? It's not like we don't have any minivans in the game at all... But also, there has been no teasing of minivans, and this whole discussion revolves around if they should add specific content that hasn't been teased, which was probably provoked by a suggestion, so this conversation should really be continued in the Vehicle Suggestions Thread, or at least stopped here.
And insulted me multiple times. What if I were to insult you a bunch (actually i kinda did) If you were to agree that we can have our own opinions and stop continuing this arguement (which is now 3 pages long), I would possibly forgive you. If you insist on continuing the arguement, it will not end well for you. We can already tell that most of the community wants to have an official minivan in the base game.
Alright this one isn't even meant to be a snarky comeback: If BeamNG tends to add things that players largely ask for (i.e, a Minivan in this context) then why would a small subset of people NOT wanting a minivan mean it's "Not coming" "Ever" to BeamNG? Doesn't make much sense to me, especially as there's strong evidence in this thread that people would love thrashing a minivan around. I think most of the joy I personally get out of BeamNG even is just revving the nuts off of regular cars and seeing where their limits are. If you don't like a minivan, that's fine! But I feel like that in itself doesn't make any sense for it to NEVER come to BeamNG, which you so boldly claim. At the end of the day too, if you don't like them then simply don't drive it if it ever becomes vanilla content.
Modern pickup, any older German car, any Swedish or Korean car, anything from the mid-2000s or any modern midsize sedans --- Post updated --- Have you listened to a word I said? I outlined exactly why I believe a minivan isn’t coming, and “I personally don’t like minivans” wasn’t on that list
I present to you a 2000s Korean car: Also, sliding doors would be a great way to expand upon and showcase the capabilities and features of the new openable door system
Another question I have: If you think that BeamNG is only adding vehicles to cater around career mode, then what advantages in career mode could a modern pickup have over the present D-Series? Same question regarding a modern midsize over a Bastion / Pessima.
@fivedollarlamp You made a comment a couple days ago about the devs failing to meet ETAs on some things tdev mentioned in the AMA he did. Well, I found the two AMA messages and there doesn't appear to be a single ETA on there, so where were you going with that? https://www.beamng.com/threads/update-speculation-thread.20246/page-2118#post-1456559 https://www.beamng.com/threads/update-speculation-thread.20246/page-2123#post-1457094
I mean you did say you disliked minivans where I quoted you It was regarding my point that things that the community largely asks for tend to be implemented, so if you didn't like minivans / don't think they're coming for the points you stated, how is that positioned against the present strategy of adding vehicles based on community preference? Again, I don't see why your stance is that it would never ever come if what I described is how vehicles are generally implemented.
I was talking more so about something fwd like a 9th gen accord or something The 98 pessima is not modern by any stretch of the imagination, the bastion isn’t a midsize. The facelift d-series is hardly “modern” and a modern compact pickup like a Tacoma or a maverick would be different in every way --- Post updated --- Why are you mentioning this dog
I'm aware that the vehicles have differences such as age and size etc, but what I'm asking is if you believe vehicles are specifically catered around career mode when they are being added to the game, then what major gameplay differences would driving a modern midsize economy sedan provide compared to a late 90s midsize economy sedan in career mode provide?
Bro this guy insults everyone and backs controversal opinions... this is just karma coming back at you. This is when everyone is tired of your shit and finally sees a chance to get back at you for this. You had this coming, but you didn't try to stop it. You have just sown the seeds of your downfall.
I can assure you that’s not the logic that the devs use when deciding what to add --- Post updated --- I’m going to print this out and frame it bro this is gold
