Expansion for the Central Station tunnels? --- Post updated --- —Geez, the police station looks horrible
Maybe this was brought up before and I missed it, but I think there may be hints as to what cars will get remastered in the near future by looking at the cars that didn't get new interior collisions in 0.28. All the new cars and remasters since 0.26 had them already (Covet, Scintilla, Stambecco, etc.), and all the cars that were recently new/remastered prior to that got them in 0.28 (Bastion, LeGran, H-Series, Roamer, etc.). Some cars that haven't yet been remastered also got new collisions, which may disappoint people hoping for the Sunburst and 200BX to get attention soon. Maybe they figure any car that's not going to be remastered within, say, a year might as well get interior collisions now so they won't stand out too horribly for a long time, but cars planned to be remastered in the next few update cycles are fine without them for now. The cars that didn't get remastered yet and didn't get interior collisions in 0.28 (according to the changelog) are: Bruckell Moonhawk Burnside Special Gavril Bluebuck Gavril Grand Marshall Gavril T-Series Wentward Now, if any of these vehicles did have interior collisions before 0.28, let me know so I can amend the list. I'm going off the current changelog, so if one of these cars just happened to get them at some prior update, I don't remember/notice it. I do love crashing the cars that have them even more now. They do certainly feel much much better to have the interior deform a little more realistically.
another thing to consider is that the moonhawk, burnside, bluebuck and GM are all of the BOF cars, so it's possible there's some difficulty when it comes to combining the separate chassis/floor and the interior jbeam.
It might be a thing, frames have collision on the sides that extends far past the top of the frame into the interior (for the purposes of frame rigidity and not getting stuck when you are driving around with only the frame), it would definitely mess with interior collision. On trucks it isn't a problem since the frames are thicker/taller so they don't stick in the interior so much. That's actually a very believable theory.
I don't see how Sunburst and 200BX getting interior collisions excludes potential remasters. From what we've seen already, the dev team doesn't just work on one project at the time. The remasters may in the works now, regardless of recent changes. On top of that, they may as well reuse certain parts of the old jbeams in the new versions (it's only the interior, it won't change that much anyway). EDIT: Spoiler: this me
Because the update happened all of almost two weeks ago lol. We’ve still got at least a month until they start giving us serious teasers.
What I'm interested in is the T-series mention. Why, out of all the mods, is the T-series expansion pack? Food for thought.
In the part about them updating the broken mod checker, it shows the userfolder path, which shows the 0.29 folder instead of a 0.28 folder.
I think we might be looking into this a little far, unless they plan to integrate in some of GTG’s content (which I find HIGHLY unlikely). They likely just needed a mod to help demonstrate the update, and GTG’s mod happens to cause a whole bunch of errors in there because it overwrites config files. --- Post updated --- In the same bit of the patch notes, the mod used to demonstrate it’s functionality is the GTG T-Series expansion pack.
