I mean a good chunk of my logic thinking this is also that there are 3 mods for minivans already from the 90s-00s so it seems kind of odd to me that the Devs would implement a vehicle that is retroactively already accessible to most anyone, whereas there are no modern minivan mods and therefor this would be a new vehicle to all users (I'm not sure if they actually think like this) Also they have been on a pretty big string of adding very modern cars to BeamNG to compensate for the 'modern' cars that where released in the early versions of the game now being considered old. Like the Bastion, Scintilla, Vivace/Tograc, 800 and K Series. The logic being that if they release a modern car now, then in 5 years that modern car could begin to show its age as within the past 5ish years the designs of common vehicles have shifted drastically from what they where, with more aggressive designs and angular lines trying to display futurism instead of just kind of existing as cars like 2010s models did
Ok so seeing the teaser, I more see a van from the 80s-90s then a modern one. It’s the proportion. In fact it makes me think of the Toyota MasterAce from the late 80s. Maybe it’s a bit too early compare to what’s shown. But it’s not a huge minivan either and the proportion makes me think of more an evolution from the 80s then a modern one.
hoping that the devs are reading this, in which case id like to point you towards the toyota picnic sport turbo (a custom build by toyota uk with a celica gt-four engine, camry sport wheels, red leather interior and other bits) and give you the look that you know that i know that you know means it needs to happen
This Jbeam looks like it would kinda fit the shape of the Renault Scenic mod that JorgePinto was making, good news, that mod might not be dead anymore if someone re-meshslaps it on that Jbeam instead of its original one lol. I'm looking forward to driving something that resembles my dad's beater, maybe I'll make a mod that makes it similar to it when it's out
Hirochi is the more driver-focused brand, the one brand car enthusiasts who want a Japanese car would go to, so this would make it a bit of a no-no for the Hirochi brand. I have no problem seeing this new minivan in Ibishu guise because Ibishu is the more mass-production brand of the two, a point proven by most of its models: the Pessimas, the Covet, the Miramar, the 200BX, all these models are designed to appeal to as much of a wide audience as they can (that's why we see an automatic transmission on the 200BX). Even the more oddball models, like the Pigeon/Wigeon and the Hopper, even these are designed to conform with specific country market requirements; the Pigeon/Wigeon conform with the JDM Kei Car rules and the Hopper is aligned with the USDM rules (with the automatic transmission, the side marker lights, the amber DRLs up front and the red turn signals at the back being the most obvious giveaways). Plus, the new Minivan already seems to be aimed towards the American market, as I see it has quite a large wheelbase. I mean, the edges of the rear doors don't curve up on the rear arches and there's quite a bit of bodywork between the rear doors and the rear arches, which tells us we've got a long-wheelbase variant here. Seeing as it's got quite a conservative shape for a Minivan, my guess is that it's a mid-90s car, based on the '96 VM501 Pessima components (don't forget that the '96 Pessima is quite a large car, measuring at just above 4.8m in length, plus this could mean a larger engine upgrade for the '96 Pessima too). There's one more brand which could have the Minivan and that's Bruckell because Bruckell could take the LeGran chassis (it too measuring just above 4.8m in length, but elongating it, of course), suspension (struts up front, beam axle at the rear) and transverse drivetrain components (3.3 V6 with a 3-Speed Auto, 3.8 V6 with a 4-Speed Auto) and put them in the Minivan too. So my guess is it's either gonna be an Ibishu or a Bruckell. But in any case, I hope it's got sliding doors!
It could actually be the 1st gen Renault Scenic but with the rear of the 2nd gen one and extended lol
For me it looks like this : It would make sense to have it based on this because Renault is the one who invented the mini-van , or at least , monospace, wich is how it's called in France. Heck , it would be awseome to see this variant, to compensate the lack of (racing) content in the 0.28 update :
O MY WORD, MINIVAN!! wooohoo!, GREATEST BEAMNG TEASER EVER!!, (got a little exited there,) the one! day i sleep in, we get a minivan teaser, what a coincidence! lol the shape reminds me of a mix between early 2000s odyssey and early 2000s estima!
