California Surfin'? Unless we see rooftop surfboards in the developer section, I'm going to place my bets on California Dreamin'.
Oh wow that sounds pretty cool but yeah now that i've had some sleep I understand lol i hadn't slept in like 2 days when I posted this lol
The devs are not sharing any information about what they're working on this time around... maybe this is to prevent this thread going insane and creating 20+ pages of useless posts.
They always do that, nothing happens for like a month and a half then some progress appears and the update comes out all within the space of about a month or so.
That is merely a theoretical name by me to describe the overall character of the upcoming update. That was not mentioned to be the name anywhere by a developer, exact or similar. It is more likely that it will just be called "Update 0.10". On-topic: Considering there's a deadzone of no actual knowledge of when the major parts of the update (Bluebuck, WCA) will be complete, or how complete they are, and considering that there's a usual trend of a period of quietness about a month or two before a major update, I'm still holding my bet on 0.10 coming in either late July or early/mid-August.
West coast is a possibility, but we might get suprised with Italy first, who knows? There's no evidence of the Bluebuck, so it can't be confirmed to be in it or not.
aside from the fact that its confirmed to be the next vehicle, and pretty much every major update has a new vehicle in it
It was there for 0.9, but it wasn't added, so who knows. I'm 99% sure WCA is coming, because there are files in game mentioning "West Coast"
As can I, but split screen is different. Not sure exactly how, but I heard one of the devs say it was going to be a long time.
i think i remember a member of the dev team saying something like that, but it still seems non-sensical. surely rendering the environment & cars (and ui etc.) twice cannot be less taxing than rendering the same place from two viewports. if anything it should be easier on the hardware and not the other way around. but who knows - maybe its just another engine limitation. it really seens like the engine is holding this game back a lot. i remember reading that even changing textures on the fly is almost impossible performance wise in torque3d. it came up in a discussion about scratches or dirt on cars (you know, that thing even 12 year old games do without issues) ...
