Just realized something too: This update is much more focused on content than fixes, that's a really good sign regarding the game's development and the future updates. It's cool to see we've reached a point where the game is solid enough to allow the devs to get creative

Okay, so a lot to unpack already just from the devblog and videos.

First off, a few interesting new tire choices. That's always great to see. It's interesting that we have multiple agricultural tire choices now, definitely hope to see options there expanded. Maybe someday we'll see them in their intended application?

Secondly, the classic dragster suspension/config from the Piccobello... Kinda weird that the first vintage dragster in game is a Piccolina (edit: It's a vintage platform but with the SBR engine swap...), but it's great to see something of that sort. Drag racing hasn't received much attention at all in ages in game; definitely hope to see more in this department coming up.

Third, between the closing note of the highlight dev blog and the fact that they're doing an AMA... Sounds like 0.30 will be big, or at least have some big surprises...

The chains on the GM really make me wish we had ropeables, they don't behave particularly well.

 

Is this a hint to the career model?

 

The update is cool and all, but what really got me excited is what they wrote at the end of the change log: " Meanwhile, the team continues pushing the pedal to the metal behind the scenes to ensure that the next update includes several major improvements and new features.". So this must mean that the 0.30 update will be huge. Hopefully tire thermals etc.

 

I have to say, I like what we got, but only 2 things? It seems kind of lacking tbh

 

Could be one or more of several things like tire thermals and degradation, scratches, dirt/ mud or even career. I'm definetly already loking forward for it wihle I'm enjoying 0.29 for now
