So, we were supposed to get 'em in v0.27 or v0.26 (was the Q&A before or after v0.25?). I can't blame the developers, I'll bet it takes a while.
I bet it’s coming for 0.30 Throttle input improvements, tyre themals, shift logic improvement, abs improvement and tire tracks
Yes, next we're having v0.30. The developers should've called v0.3, v0.03, but at the time, they thought it would only have ten major updates, as it was supposed to be just a demolition derby game.
It later evolved into a sandbox. By the way, I think version numbers should change at this point to prevent confusion. How about something like Rigs of Rods' update format, 2023.08?
nah cant do, beams got a lot more sway and popularity, so it might be a jarring transition --- Post updated --- but anyway we'll know which update it is.
I hope we're done with offroad and content factory. So the update will at long last aim at physics enhancements, i don't remember when was the last physics update, only some new coilovers were designed. And maybe finally we get something for racing or motorsport since people race more than rally according to Multiplayer. And offroad wont be revisited for another year. My little passive aggressive hopes c:
Well we did get some standalone off-road vehicles in 0.27 so maybe they’ll do sth similar for racing at some point.
The only thing comes to mind is GT1 of some sort. All other classes are mostly serial car and can be done as simple config. I don't crave for any more content, i crave for physics of driving and environment interaction (via aerodynamics, surface resistance). And maybe AI to race with
From what i understand the physics devs have been stuck on tires for a while, since something related to tire thermals was supposed to release in 0.27/0.26
Idk man i cannot see beamng as a Sideways-Looking Reconnaissance Radar or a Senior Labor Relations Representative
Right in the nostalgia. Brings back memories of booting Beamng on my crummy laptop and cruising the d series on dry rock island.
we've come to a full circle huh XD I still remember owning the demo in 2013 ish and buying it in 2014.. nostalgic when BeamNG wasnt on steam yet
