Yaayy, I'd absolutely love to see and drive a small 50s/60s British Roadster like the Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite and the Lotus Elan (with the famous 'Chapman Strut' rear suspension) in BeamNG! Imagine it weighing ~650kg and having the 1.6 DOHC I4 of the Miramar, with its 115hp (even the SOHC version of that 1.6 would be fine)!
An old roadster would be awesome. Part of me wants it to be super lightweight, Elan style, but I also wouldn't mind one that's slightly larger and can fit a V8 like an AC Cobra. Also, speaking of the Miramar, it's my favourite car in the game, but I just hate how big and heavy it is (relatively speaking of course, it's small and light by Beam standards). A smaller car from the same time period with the same sort of engines would be a lot more fun. Cars like these:
Yeeees, with a Gavril 291ci for extra sauce! --- Post updated --- My goodness, I'd love Autobello to make a car like the Giulia! Smaller than the Miramar, less than a ton, discs all round, a T-shaped anti-lean linkage in the live rear axle (a very interesting technology I'd love to see, like the independent trailing arms in the rear suspension of the ETK I-Series), rear-drive with a 5-speed, and an absolute gem of a small, high-revving Twin-Cam I4 engine! Don't forget the Civetta Competizione wheels (15x9s up front, 15x12s up the rear, imagine them with a widebody)! A car like the Cobra would also be great since the classic Gavril V8s come in all sizes (291ci, 353ci and 423ci) plus, since the car is small and light, even the basic 120hp 232ci I6 (either with the standard 4-speed or with the Sport 5-Speed Manual) can make for a decent base variant with quite a bit of spirit!
Just get a good mod of the Goodwood circuit, host it on a multiplayer server and boom: Goodwood Revival in Beam
Thank you for your kind words and I can totally say the same thing about you (after all, the Elan and the Healey Bugeye Sprite are some amazing cars and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of them)! --- Post updated --- Yeees, the Ibishu 1.5/2.0 DOHC I4s are perfect for amidship mounting and for this kind of car! --- Post updated --- They're also known for their I6s. The Jaguar XK I6, for one, was in production for 37 years (1949-1986) and Jag replaced it with yet another I6 which lasted until the turn of the century!
yep plus one for a pre 1980s car. a 70s sedan ( or older ) a prewar car a British roadster will be lovely.
Hybrid system WCUSA remaster 70' American luxe sedan tyre thermal and wear deformable terrain Sunburst & moonhawk remaster official multiplayer all in 0.30 update tomorrow plz
I doubt this will happen, since: one. we already got American sedans, wouldn't something like a modern pickup be a better fit? two. as far as I know, servers for official multiplayer would cost a lot to maintain, and we already have several mods that do that three. a hybrid system would be a bit hard to implement (there is Arcanox, but it seems to be broken lately) quattro. deformable terrain could be possible, but might be very bad when it comes to performance. keep in mind that BeamNG is already a pretty heavy game five. 0.30 would not come out tomorrow as the updates seem to follow a 3 month period since last update (not counting hotfixes)
