Well with GPU it is clear that it is difficult to calculate at different display resolutions. But what about CPU? Let's say at any resolution I'm bumping CPU, for example on UTAH 1080p I have 13600k at about 260FPS, I'm trying to figure out how much CPU is spending resources to render the second image in VR, how much ? 50%? Or the CPU doesn't spend much resources on another image in the second eye
I really hope the new section belongs to WCUSA. its by far my most beloved map and there are still a few areas that where promised with being opened up like the coastal beach villa section near the Belasco PD HQ
The CPU hit is much smaller. A part of the rendering work is shared between views, the rest is unique to each view. The "unique" part is the increased resource usage, as well as the VR handling part which is minimal. Single digits percent change in CPU use typically, but we'll keep an eye on the feedback from everyone in case there are bad performance cases out there, see if there's anything we can do about it.
Well.. Looks like I'm getting a new computer soon lol Too bad I don't really like any VR sets on the market currently... It's a shame that there are so few decent options for an emerging market like that
Well, most sources say That the SBR is based on the Porsche 911, but hirochi is Japanese, so they dont exactly match up, but hey, it BeamNG...
Tbh, I wasn't expecting the new SxS to be a Hirochi, I was surprised quite a bit. On the other hand though, this also means that we're also gonna see street-legal variants of the new vehicle. --- Post updated --- Exactly, after all, fiction is equally as important as reality is in this sim! With that said though, I'd love to see Hirochi widening its Boxer/Flat engine offerings across its model lineup (talking to you Sunburst), but the new SxS doesn't help with that, tbh.
Not necessarily. At this point it's safe to say Hirochi is more of a general industry/engineering company than just an automotive manufacturer. Think Honda/Hitachi/Yamaha/Mitsubishi (technically Subaru as well since they are involved in aerospace and railroads, but they aren't generally known for that stuff so...). Honda does make traditional side by sides. At least in the US, laws concerning street use of Side by Sides are regulated at the local level, not federal. Which means the laws are all over the place.
Touching on the subject if itll be west coast or industrial map expansion, ive tried to make arguments for both sides, i wonder if i missed something, or it could be some other map / new map?
To me Hirochi seems like the (relatively) small Japanese company oriented towards the enthusiast market and the SxS definitely helps with that. Boxers probably are for the normal passenger cars of this brand, like the SBR4 (and the Sunburst and any other normal Hirochi passenger car, hopefully some time in the future). Also, Subaru is part of the Fuji Heavy Industries corporation, which also produces electronics. As for the US laws on SxSs, dunno really. But again, I see quite a few ATVs registered and driven/ridden here in Greece, so it depends on the country I guess.
I imagine the comparison to Yamaha comes from the Piano, which is made by Hirochi. Yamaha makes small motor vehicles such as side-by-sides, as well as musical instruments such as pianos.
